<DIV><STRONG>Monk changes:<BR></STRONG>- Silent Palm's stifle should now function correctly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Unless by "correctly" you mean drop after 1 or 2 hits on the MOB like it has been since the last major update ... then no .... sadly, this ability is still useless. :smileysad:</DIV>

<P><EM>I agree completely. It's sad to our key skill in this game drop so fast - especially in groups.</EM></P> <P><EM>Fixed? I dunno 'bout that...</EM></P>

By "fixed" they mean the duration went back up to 10 secs instead of 7.5. Still not 11 like it used to be, and it still breaks like crazy. I think it's sole role now will be for damage and ghetto crowd control for groups and adds. <div></div>

<DIV>The sad is with the way silent palm works now... stalking leopard/charging tiger is as useful if not more. I rarely see the stifle last for more than a second in a group and i've seen it last 4 seconds solo. I'm not sure how the spell is truly intended to work, but it doesn't seem to interupt the caster if it lands while the mob is mid cast anymore. At least stalking leopard will almost alway interupt the caster. </DIV>

Use it to stifle adds in group encounters, IE you pull a group of 3 giants you stifle the magi beat down another mob b4 your stifle breaks. It works for me just not uber. <div></div>

It is working correctly right now. Or at least matching what the combat art says.Silent Palm: A powerful attack that stifles the target for a short duration. Every time the target takes damage, there is a small chance the stifle effect will break early. -- source: <a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/classes/index.vm?classId=6" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/classes/index.vm?classId=6</a>.Apply it to a target and stop your auto-attack and see. I tested that and it lasted almost the full period.Thank you! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I think my definition of "small" differs greatly from SOEs definition. <div></div>

Well, if you ask me, I hate the size thingy.Your small could be my large. Your large could be my small.I think the skill is better off with some thing like:- The stifle will break if you use any combat arts on the target.OR- The stifle will break when target takes xxxx amount of damage.<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>It's useful if you have an add that you aren't taking down yet, just Silent Palm him and go back to the original mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This also works well when you have used all your good CA's and then Silent Palm the guy for a good 10 second of auto attack. Usually, auto attack does not break it.</DIV>

<DIV>Silent Palm was removed from my main hotbar right after devs made it so that it had no effect on epic mobs. Its usefulness if pretty minimal. But, our primary skill these days... is being able to tank and do reasonable damage. </DIV>

Why would you remove a decent dmg ca from your bar? <div></div>

<DIV>It's a lot more useful for solo'ing then in any group setting. However as some have said here you can use it to stifle a mob that's not the main target in a group encounter. If no one fires off any AOE attacks to break it, which almost never happens...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've found a very useful point for it solo'ing, if still somewhat lame... Fire it off right before you use a hex doll.</DIV> <DIV>I can solo some pretty tough opponents that I might not otherwise be able to using the mitigation debuff and the attack speed debuff from the fright and ruin hex dolls, and winding them up right after a Silent Palm leaves you doing no damage to break it for about 8 seconds.</DIV>

Confirmed it yesterday with a templar as I hit lvl 50 monk. My silent palm stifle drops in seconds while his mark line doesn't proc even once per fight. And Mark line has 20% proc. <div></div>
