As a monk i love it as a alchemist I dont. oh well.

from my understanding, FotP is scaled  with adept 1 at 84% and Adept 3 at 86%

There is an adept1 version of this spell and it is dropped only. I found one finally on the djinn in shimmering palace.

Guildie monk got the server discovery on it off the undead Nagas in Shimmering Citadel.  I'd say if you can get the adeptI, save the pearl/vanadium for another adeptIII.  The purpose of this ability is to "maybe" save your group.  If even one person survives, its a success.
