Right now I am using Orclord stalking armour, but it needs upgrading and I have no idea what to go for. The last set of armour I bought cost a fortune and looked terrible. Anyone know of a site that maybe shows what armour looks like before you buy it?

Or anyone around my level care to post screenies of how you armour looks?

Thanks

As with any MMORPG, you're looking for a good balance of cost and protection.

Top end, really is the crafted rare. This is the Pristine Tailored/Imbued Augmented Amor you see other monks wearing around your level. You need one Superb Quality skin for each piece, making this a lot of harvesting effort or an expensive proposition. Chest and legs can be imbued. Total armor cost on Antonia Bayle for this setup is going to run you between 5-10 plat, depending on your market connections.

Common crafted will do ya, if you're in a bind money-wise. This is the Pristine Tailored/Imbued Strengthened Armor you see druids and monks running around in. You're looking at probably a plat or less for a full suit.

Other armor I frequently see is the Thicket Woven armor which drops off Lamia in Enchanted Lands I believe. You can also find non-crafted Augmented Leather armor that drops uncommonly from T5 mobs.

In order of preference I would go:

1. Reinforced - Probably out of reach for you depending on guild level and money situation.

2. Crafted Augmented - Also quite pricey, but best armor most non-power-gamers have access to.

3. Dropped Augmented / Thicket Woven - Lots of mob-killing and/or market savvy to get all your pieces.

4. Crafted Strengthened - Probably last resort, but also quite cheap comparatively.

Sorry, I don't have pics of all of these, but if you've paid for the extra EQ2players.com features, an "Advanced Player Search" of monks on any server between levels 40-50 will usually give you a fairly good roster of monks from rich to poor along with a screenshot or two.

Good luck!

Depending on your guild and your server pristine augmented leather might be within your reach for much less than the 10plat stated above. Sometimes you can find augmented aprons or slashed augmented belts on the broker for 25 to 50gp (on Neriak anyway. they used to regularily be 20-30 before the revamp, now 35-50). Then all you have to do is find a tailor to do the combine. If you want imbued just get a glimmering stone (usually 2-5gp). I was able to get all 6 pieces of armour (not including the belt or ranged slot item) for less than 1 plat. I had 2 aprons from my guild, and bought the other 3 for about 75gp. Then i found boots for 30gp (a steal!) All in all, i had a full suit of tailored rare at lvl 41 for about 1 plat through a combination of epic mob drops, friends in my guild, and bargains on the broker.
