<DIV>Is this working as intended. I Have put it on a couple tanks now and there avoidance went down? I thought it was to add avoidance to tanks. I will try again tonight maybe they were jerking me around and how much of a difference does this make with main tanks? If I am full dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

evey tank has a spell from this line. the problem however is, that they don't stack. So if you cast your spell on them, their spell gets cancelled. As they received benefits like +agi from this spell, their avoidance will go down. But the effect of martial discipline is invisible, you will only notice if you go through the logs.Anyways, even though the number of their avoidance might go down, your spell gives much better avoidance, and you should always keep it up if possible.

I notice that when I try to use it on the MT in my group it usually says It would not take effect rather than canceling their own buff. Why is it that all fighters get this ability now? Are we still the best choice for it though? I'm assuming the other spell lines do the same thing, as in 25% chance to use the casters avoidance if the targets avoidance fails. Since we should have the highest avoidance, we'd be the best choice... right? <div></div>

<DIV>Most (if not all) tanks had something like this before the revamp, it's not new, just the implementation is.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yeah, for some reason if you put it on the tank, the one they have on someone else drops. Well, in my most recent group, the tank preferred to use his own buff on the healer, which in term gave her +11 parry. Mine would have provided her with +33% chance to do an additional avoidance check. Anyway, hard to compare what's more useful, but I then simply casted my buff on one of the casters, which gave myself the deflection bonus. Does anyone have any comparison as to the usefulness of +11 parry vs. +33% avoidance? Oh, one thing we didn't try out yet was if both tanks buffed the same healer for instance... but I suppose that wouldn't stack either?

Sure it would be nice to be able to Shrug Off buff the healer while another fighter in the group buffs you with their buff, it doesn't really make much sense having this big brute orc slashing at you with your weapon trying to defend your self, while also doing a bodyguard role for another group member. I see it more as a utility role type buff. What is a bug though is that you can buff your self and gain the benefit from the +Agi/Parry/Deflection ect. without buffing a group member.</span><div></div>

I cant buff myself with transcendent vison. I can buff my mushroom pet from splitpaw however <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

SHHHHHH, don't let them know we can do that. they might take it out. I dunno if it's an exploit, but it sure makes that pet worthwhile! <div></div>

<P>Hey Gaige I am wondering the same thing what is this bug you speak of. So I shouldn't cast this on a tank? I should just pick a healer or mage to buff?</P> <P>Anyways thank you for answering my ?. For the most part this buff is pointless cause I solo. And yes I know about the glitch. heh.</P>

It's hardly pointless when soloing. If you have the pet you can gain some avoidance. Also, you can just group with someone, put the buff on, and degroup. The buff will stay on, and you still receive the avoidance boost. I don't know if that's intended, but it sure is handy. You can't use it on the MT when they are using their own version of it. This prevents making the MT virtually immune to attack. So if you're the MT, use it, if you're not the MT, use it on someone else in your group who is likely to draw agro. I guess this is their idea of tank stacking. :p <div></div>
