Well, if you want to be a DPS monk, take M2 Jolting Fists. Damage per second per recast is better than Icy Talon M2, and you can miss with Icy Talon. You can't "miss" with the 8 confirmed procs from Jolting Fists.

If you're a tanker, by all means take Dragon Advance, the M2 version is equal to the Adept 3 version of the next tier, if previous history of Adept 3 / Master 2 are any gauge to judge by.

Im big into tanking and always have been. I took dragon advance at 44, and im 20 % from 54 atm. I currently trio lvl 59 (orange con) heroics with an inquis and a coercer. Exp is nice and fights are challangeing but in the end a fully fabled monk rocks for tanking. Lets just say with dragon advance, and taunts 2 times on inc i can afk with auto atk and not get peeled in a trio, with scouts i dont even need to do combat arts, just single taunt every so often. Since avoidance does jack [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] still and the + mitigation on def stance can be totaly countered with face of the mountain, i tank in offens stance. Its the difference in 56% avoidance 1600 mitg and 67% avoid 1745 mitigation. But the difference in -18 crush to + 31 (span of 49 crush skill) is amazingly noticable for dps, agro etc. Yeah thats right i can TRIO orange con heroics with an enc + priest. Anyone see the post about orange cons being mostly a lose lose situation? I did, but im gonna write it off to mez, velcoity, hallowed aura, and a fully fabled tank. Exp in this expansion is horrid, solo exp is the best route. Soloing mobs 2-3 levels above me i avg 8-9% exp an hour. In a full group hunting lvl 59s ( we are 53) we avg 10 kills per 1%. Trioing i avg 4-5 kills per 1% at the same rate if we kill blues, and 3-4 kills for killing orange cons at roughly the same rate as blues. Unless they implament a 100% exp bonus for a full group i dont see my self ever doing more then trio till im 60. Some good combos for jolting fist: JF + storming hydra (extra 80ish dmg too 5 mobs per encounter), nice lil extra agro JF + Flurry (mongoose, rapid punch etc) - self explanitory

I totally agree with you Dfoley, i'm no fabled just legendary but trio and and soloing is the way to go for xp other wise ur really just wasting ur time.

I like Dragon Advance with wizards etc u hold like glue with no worries. I do have probs holding the group mobs but oh well trying a few things and i'm sure i'll get use to it soon enough.

I went with the Shocking Hand Master II and Dragon Advance Adept III. The increase of Shocking Hand was much more (adept III to Master II) than Dragon Advance was.

And I agree with you guys entirely about doing small groups.

I was chainpulling level 58 Kromtors in Pillar of Flame the other day for about 4 hours... and got about 1.5 yellows. But, I said to myself "Meh, I guess its just an experience grind and there's nothing you can do about it." The next day, I solo for about 2 hours and got over 1.5 yellows. When I duo, I get more exp than in big groups.

Its rather depressing rather. Now that we can tank level 59 mobs like champs... the experience from them is so lousy that its not worth the time.
