<DIV>Hello:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've been getting a huge number of questions from monks regarding availability of the new Tier 6 weaponsmith-made rare fist weapons, so wanted to post this here so you guys have the latest information.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First, very unfortunately, the new fist wraps and cestii leather fist weap recipes are bugged and cannot be made. What happens is that no item is returned upon successfully completing the pristine stage of the recipe. This same problem happened with these same weapons in the original release models, and it took months before they were fixed and could be used in game. I know that many of you are outspoken and well respected on these boards regarding monk weapons, and I just wanted to bring this to your attention so you can help make sure you recieve priority in getting your needs addressed by SoE this expansion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And let me show you why it is extremely important to get this problem with weaponsmith-made fistwrap and cestii weapons fixed right away - compare the damage on the game first new cobalt knuckles I made last night to your very best fabled fist weapons:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.solisearch.net/ims/pic.php?u=44598f2SY&i=211630"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Monks usually prefer fistwraps and cestii to knuckles, but if you're on Blackburrow and want some of the knuckles made now, please let me know.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is what they look like equipped (as modeled by Grimel on Blackburrow).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.solisearch.net/ims/pic.php?u=44598f2SY&i=211631"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One other thing - they "forgot" to include the imbue recipes in the new recipes available for this expansion - so at this time no proc can be added to these weapons. But with the significant increase in damage over previous-tier weapons, these still have better damage than any other weapons with a proc that I'm aware of in game. Once these weapons are used attuned by a player, they cannot be imbued in the future by a weaponsmith.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I've got a WS, but haven't started leveling him just yet. What level are the first cobalt/rare leather weapons for brawlers made? That'll give me a goal. I'd love to upgrade at least one of my weapons to cobalt... even though I'll have to toss it later on when I need to imbue it <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by stfields on <span class=date_text>09-20-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:36 AM</span>

A weaponsmith can use the recipe, but upon successfully completeing the pristine stage, no finished item is returned and the raws, including the rare, is removed from inventory. Specifically, this includes the new:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Scaled Fist Wraps</DIV> <DIV>Scaled Spiked Cestus</DIV> <DIV>Scaled Cestii</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In addition, the imbue and extract recipes are not in game, so weaponsmiths could not imbue these items with a proc, even if they could be made.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will update here when these get fixed. It took months to get these same recipes fixed on lower tier monk weapons in the original release of EQ2. I'm hoping that some of you might want to try some of these weapons for yourself sooner this time, and can constructively express your opinions about not being able to get these weapons made again.</DIV>

<P>First off I apologize for Galeo on behalf of all of us.</P> <P>Secondly, thank you Ixnay for taking the time to post this here and letting us know about the problems (again) so that we can try to work towards a much quicker resolution this time, because I for one would love to get a set of these new IMBUED monk weapons.</P>

Imbued recipes are being worked on and will likely be included in the next Live Update.</DIV>

I think we are owed an explanation as to why we have to wait so long. These are considered substantial parts of the crafting system and should have been included w/ DoF. Basically you said increases the level cap to 60 for crafters (but what we arent telling you is that half the stuff will not work and massive portions will be missing). But after not saying anything for a week, we will then tell you, you must wait a month for it to be put in. Shades of SWG. Just the opinion of one crafter. Dunno if anyone else agrees but I would like to think so. <div></div>

i think staves are better anyways. we need leather for armor, and wood is so cheap, compared to cobalt and stuff.
