PVP'ing as a monk is pretty fun.

<DIV>I'm not making a serious class balance thread out of this. This is PVP, not PVE. Anyone who complains about PVP class balance needs to go play a game where PVP is a game-wide focus.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Last night I was helping a player with the first part of the magic carpet quest in the Sinking Sands. He was a level 50 Inquisitor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Later on that night I noticed he was playing in the arena in Maj'Dul with 2 other level 50's. One was a berzerker and the other was a Warden.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The arena match was open to the public, so I joined in as an observer for the first round. It was the Warden and Inquisitor vs. the Berzerker. Sure enough, the Berzerker never had a chance. The Inquisitor had a Master 1 root spell that lasts 45 seconds and stifles you as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The next round, I joined the berzerker. We still lost the match, but I was able to take them down twice thanks to the special power ups in the arena. One of them increases your size and Melee Damage output by 523 percent. I've never punched anyone for over 1000 before.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Boy was that a lot of fun.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Next round, the inquisitor joined me so that sides were a little more balanced. One Healer, One Fighter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=5>Oh man Did I give that Berzerker a Red-*** Beatdown!</FONT> :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I loaded up all my stun spells and still had room to use the various spell powerups that show up around the arena now and then.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The guy kept telling me to stop punching him so hard. XD</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I ended up killing the Berzerker 7 times and the Warden 5 times myself. The inquisitor ended up killing the warden once.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>They never stood a chance. Even a level 50 Mystic joined in on thier side and I kicked his butt two times as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Never had so much fun in quite a while. Really showed me how much DPS a level 49 monk can dish out compaired to other classes, even though I only fought against two healers and a berzerker.</DIV>

<DIV>Thats why I started off my post by stating that the game is a Player Vs. Enviroment game, and that PVP is just a bonus feature. The classes are balanced for Players vs. NPC's. Not Players vs. Other players.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you don't like getting your butt kicked in PVP, then don't PVP. Simple as that.</DIV>
