I went with all the Stamina bonus, 1 of the Health bonuses, 1 of the Power Bonuses, and since I have always had the most trouble with Poison Resist Gear I took all the poison resist that was offered. For Racial stuff I took all the perminant stuff, none of the skills you had to cast, and none of the tradeskill stuff. <div></div>

<P>Thanks for the feedback Ceist.</P> <P>I was of the thought I might concentrate on Sta/health to try and lesson any damage spikes the seem to plague monks. But, then I start to think about Agi in the regards that if I avoid more hits then damage spikes will also occure less frequently. hmm I am gonna have to think about this a bit.</P>

I took mostly str, one agi, one int. I took all pwr regen. I took all mental resists. I also took skelly/gnoll/giant/golem/lizard but I think I'll take orc after the /respec next week.

I took 2 for Str, 1 for Agi, 1 for Sta, 2 for power regen, 2 heat resists, and concentrated on defensive for racial traits. Lotus Ivoryfist <Dawning> 50 Monk Oggok <div></div>

I'm only level 16, but respecced all to AGI... based mainly on reading the release notes on affect of agility

<DIV>I went the max hp route, stamina and % to hp pool.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Roughly 4300 hps at level 50. I have mainly rare tier5 crafted jewelry/leather and a couple of fables.</DIV>

<DIV>I took agility and max hps when available, and grabbed defense and stamina bonuses from racial training. I also went with all mental resist choices, figuring that I might as well go with the flow and be prepared to tank mental-based mobs when they rear their ugly heads. Might not happen often, but we'll see <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<SPAN> <P><SPAN>Because of the respec I went all wisdom to see how much it would each point would affect my toon. The main reason I thought this would be a cool Idea was because (for those that don't know) wisdom affects your resists and I wanted to see how high I could get them and the effect in tanking verses STR/STA. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the effects-- self buffed and with minimal to no wisdom gear my resists are almost all above 1400-2000 (not exact but I can post [Removed for Content] if needed) with the exception of divine which sits comfortably at 999. I was really amazed to see how many times in tanking yesterday that I resisted even con to lower spells thrown at me. If I had a parse type of program that could track that I would give solid numbers. I am going to continue to tank as much as possible and get into mix groups to see if I can toy with the numbers. If it sux then I will go the normal route after respec but I have to see what it does. </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>As a side note: Kerrans get a 2 min augmentation buff that gives you 2.0 to wisdom that I took as well. From my calculations it seems that this is +2% to your overall wisdom score and it helps as well. </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>I know you guys are going to say I am crazy but if I am avoiding attacks and spells I think it might make a good combo plus unless they have completely changed armor properties it is hard to find Wis/Str or Wis/Agi/Sta gear that we can actually wear, besides tanking to me is about making life easier on my healer, holding aggro and not about damage output. </SPAN></P> <P></SPAN><SPAN>ok /Flame away :smileysad: all coments and sugesstions positive and negative are welcome. </SPAN></P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by kerra on <span class=date_text>09-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:57 PM</span>

I went all agility (my gear leaves me low on agi right now) and all the passive racial traits I could get. Took both power regen options, and I think I took Provoke/Hand Clap/Everburning/Dragon Advance for 14/24/34/44.

As a kerra i took 3 agi and a wis all health pool and the 2wis mana regen tick has been working well so far can hit 64% avoid self buff in t5 legendary gear and get some nice resists goin with combo of control breathing the wis choice and the little +2 bump. Actually took shocking hand over dragon advance and have had no trouble holding aggro solo or group mob event though this is probably gonna end up being ojne of the worst choices i still like it for the added dps lol and i don know if activating it pulls any actual aggro but oh well it's fun. Zephyl choice has been good since i don have a ruby for qp adept 3. <P>Message Edited by chromespade on <SPAN class=date_text>09-15-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>03:42 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by chromespade on <span class=date_text>09-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:53 AM</span>

<P>I play Mitsukai a Lvl 50 Dark Elf Monk on Permafrost</P> <P>On Respec I went with 1 sta the rest agi, poison resist and crushing resist, for mastery I took gnoll, skeleton, golem, elemental</P> <P>I went all power regen and went DPS with all the Master II spells. My darkelf traits of course I got poison, mental, agi, and int, and since that just leaves speel lines I went with the racial out of combat regen cast foir those rare emergencies.</P> <P>I must say I feel a little more balanced with my monk, I can tank up to white solo mobs pretty effectively, where as before without a group pretty much anything could jump me if I wasn't on my game. I've even had to ma in groups on some yellow ^^ group mobs in groups where the healer wasn't ewatching and have held up pretty well in an all out DPS stance.</P> <P>So far this has been more fun and challenging than the previous combat system.</P>

<DIV>Human Monk on Unrest:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All stamina and disease, slash resist (comes in handy for those tower guards right now that all use slash).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mastery: gnoll (no reason), zombie, golem (they are everywhere it seems)... don't remember the rest <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Master II: Everburning Flame and Shocking Hand</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Race trait: defense, metalshaping, hp pool+, power pool+, sta, agi</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I went with all stamina since I don't feel that agility plays as big of a role anymore. It used to effect parry and deflection, but now that we only get approx 0.025% per agility, I don't see it to be as useful as a str and sta increase. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I started out using the RGF because of the sta bonus and keeping in mind how good it was pre-expansion. However, when tanking, I found that Shocking Hand was going to waste. LM would rarely hit 100% and I found that "sometimes" hate could be a problem. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, I put on the prismatic baton and a cestii, and it looked like the cestii did a lot more damage than the baton, about 50-75% more. With DW, I feel that I get more hate procs (this is a guess only). Using 2 cestii, I parse about 15dps more than baton/cestii and about 30dps more than RGF (go figure that out). Mobs seem to riposte a lot less and when they do, it seems like its only a normal hit. </DIV>
