<P>Thanks!</P> <P>I'm a bit worried that it will be difficult to effectively hit a mob while in defensive stance, and if much of our agro-generation is supposed to come from damage, things could be rough.</P> <DIV>Comparing WD M2 and CS M1, I think I'd rather use WD instead of its upgrade against higher-con mobs. Though I think that I read that a difference in melee skill won't render mobs unhittable as quickly...</DIV>

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'll be taking def at 44 and off stance at 54. I still haven't decided though. With the way things are changing at least ;p

Ugh.. great, now even less mitigation... What do Guards 'n Pallys Defensive stances look like now? One thing we need the most.. mitigation.. almost all gone.. woot! We get to tank for 12 seconds every 3 minutes! And we can cure AoE DoT's once every 2-3 minutes! So lame.. <div></div>

All of the stances are pretty much identical, if I recall. <div></div>

<DIV>I participated in a raid on Beta today in Silent City. The MT was a 60 Monk and I am a 60 Monk also, we had 3 groups against x4 mobs and the MT did an awesome job.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And even when I took aggro off the MA, I was able to tank successfully. Changing from offensive to defensive stance is very quick and easy to do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So until you get to play your Monk with the changes please do not write us off</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sergeant-at-Arms Karakka</DIV> <DIV>Lucan DLere (50) & Beta (60)</DIV>

Then again, they've changed everything once and back again it seems like, so by the time these go live they may go back in.</span> <div></div>

<DIV>if i look at what we get an look at bruisers , i tought we as monks where the most defensive oriontated of the 2</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>they have more mitigation, 50 % faster 45% selfheals , damage on CA"s is higher , agi buff </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>maybe i am seeing things :p</DIV>

Bruisers have no stifles anymore, the mitigation comes at the price of a DoT and Monks got the awesome Tsunami. It all evens out pretty much, although i admittedly never got the reason of giving brute thugs a very good heal.</span><div></div>

Making them null in this debate. I do agree that our Tsunami is nice.. and we have a small ward (it lasts like 5 seconds so if its not timed right it's pointless), but Bruisers get Stone Skin. Bruisers also get an AGI/STA(I think sta?) buff, where Monks get STR/WIS. The WIS factor on resists is so very low making that almost pointless. Monks should have AGI/STA and Bruisers should have STR/STA. The problem I see is just what Tilane said. Monks should have the higher HP, faster re-use heal, no doubt. And monks should have a defensive stance that is signifigantly better than bruisers, where a bruisers offensive stance should be better than a monks. Monks are supposed to be the more defensive brawler, but when comparing a Monk and a Bruiser, it's REALLY hard to tell who is better defensively, and it's pretty easy to see who is the better offensive class.</span><div></div>

Jnewby why don't you keep your trolling limited to the in test forum. <span>:smileywink:</span> <div></div>
I believe Guardians also get a group buff that gives +9 to defense as well to everyone. So the +15 and +9 gives +24 and you also have a short duration buff that adds +def and mitigation I believe. So not quite as bad as you're making out jn00b

Not saying we should have mroe mitigation than any heavy tank, just saying that we need it more than you, because Avoidence isn't all you make it out to be.</span><div></div>
