<DIV>I'd like to pose a few questions about the Royal Great Flail and Silent Palm regarding to the combat revamp.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) From Gage's screenshots, it looks like Silent Fist has been renamed Silent Palm.  The description is um... confusing.  It looks like they lowered the stifle duration from 20 down to 10.  However, I remember reading a dev's post about how debuffs that land on the mob will now land for their full duration or not land at all.  So, no longer do we have to "guess" if our stifle landed.  <STRONG>Does Silent Palm work on epic encounters?  </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV>2) From my knowledge, the damage on the RGF is absolutely insane because of the current combat system.  A long delay weapon, coupled with a reasonable amount of haste (say down to 2s delay) does ridiculous damage AND you can use combat arts (usually 1s cast time on each).  This allows for your weapon delay timer to very rarely be waiting up for you to finish using a CA and the DPS difference is quite apparent.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not only are they nerfing our melee damage (which is understandable as it was sickening, but I will miss it), but CAs are now instant cast.  <STRONG>Is it safe to say that the advantage of the high delay weapon is no longer a factor?</STRONG>  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some other RGF related items... it always seemed that the RGF proced a hell of a lot.  Considering that every CA seemed to count as a melee attack (and hence a chance to proc) - you would see a lot of procs when using Lunging Mongoose/Rapid Swings and Storming Hydra.  We are now getting a taunt proc (about freakin' time), Dragon Stance and Storm Stance.  These say they have a 10% chance to increase threat by X.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is that 10% chance the "fake" proc chance that are on Gleaming Strike weapons?  You know how your imbued weapons don't really proc at 5%.  That 5% proc is scaled depending on your weapon delay.  It is meant to "average" it out that you get 1 proc per minute before haste (a 5% proc on a 3 delay weapon).  So, do we think that the 10% proc on Dragon/Storm Stance is going to be this "adjusted 10%" like we saw w/ Gleaming Strike weapons, or is it going to simply be a proc that goes off with a 10% chance of ANY attack?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If so, then monks with high delay weapon (like the RGF) might have to opt to tanking with a dual wield weapons to keep hate up.  Considering that riposte damage is going to be greatly reduced, that might be the best option... </DIV>

According the most recent <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=6&message.id=20272" target=_blank>screenshots of our taunt-proc CAs that Gaige posted</a>, the taunt proc CAs are now 50% rather than 10%. To compensate for the increased proc rate the amount of Threat increased was lowered. I can't confirm this as I'm not on Test or Beta. <div></div>

<span>Did you mean "</span><span>50% chance each time you <u>are</u> hit" or "</span><span>50% chance each time you hit"? The SS shows the taunt-proc to go off when you hit... was that changed?</span><span></span><div></div>
