How will you make your Monk? Will you be great at one thing or just okay at more? Given the fact that we do less damage and have more defense.. will you compensate and add more Str? or, Will you go pure defense? Since we are now "Mental" tanks (pun intended).. will you spread out your resist points? or, Will you pump Mental to be the ultimate psycho? This is more or less a "fun" post.  Post your thoughts and how you plan to change your Monk when DoF hits. <div></div>

This is what Shizziri wrote on monk vs guard discussion on guardian forum : "Playing both classes monks suck tanking anything that is yellow or higher in con cause avoidance doesn't really do you any favors, guardians can pretty much tank anything fairly well, they seem to do better on higher conned mobs though" ..so I'd keep raising str <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>I think I'll go pure defensive - and yes, respec to get my mental as high as I can for resists.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my opinion ( granted I could be way off on this but... :smileyhappy<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, taking what I've seen and read from the very helpful monks out there testing the new system, I'd be willing to give up about 10-15% DPS during a fight for increased mitigation and avoidance.  I think that in the long run, especially when facing herioc mobs, the key thing is that you're the last one standing 100% of the time - not how fast you can drop a mob 50% of the time - while the other 50% you're feigning for your life.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, it seems as though we have our choice of stances - Defensive, Offensive and Balanced.  If I need to aid the group and pump out a little DPS by off-tanking then BAM:  Offensive line of self buffs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm very excited about the revamp, and am eager to try these new skills out.  I'm also kinda thankful I'm not in the T5 levels yet - as I can experience my toon at the lower levels and see how the new T3, and T4 skills will progress compared to the old.</DIV>
