it's been said, by players and devs, to use weapons. weapons have always been superior to unarmed combat. never saw anyone parse it tho. with the new shocking palm thing i'm not sure what's going on with unarmed combat. i seriously hope they keep us with weapons, because i'd hate to be faced with choosing the stats i get from weapons or some other foofy thing. to me, fist-wraps constitutes unarmed combat. <div></div>

Lhakota is correct. Unarmed dr is horrid, about equivlent to using 2 treasured dual weilders. As is monks / bruisers dont get imbued fists so you can never hit raid / named mobs with bare fists. And fists are a one handed weapon ( ie not dual weild) so you will see slow hits for larger dmg that in the end parse out to be pretty bad dps. PS dont quote me on this but i think shocking palm was changed. <div></div>

Actually much worse than treasured dual wield -- it is slow and acts like a one hand weapon. You also do not get the benefits of any weapon stats. At 15 (when test had the procs for bare handed), I parsed the damage out at about 1/2 to 2/3s of my quest staff from the make a garden quest from Starcrest Commune.
