<DIV>I remember reading a SoE description of monks and it said something about "smooth effecient counter attacks" or something like that.  Then I just looked at the skill lists for Monk / Bruiser and saw that Bruisers get counter attacks... But didn't see any for Monks.  Did I miss it or do they not get one?</DIV>

My interpretation of that phrase is that we are effective riposters (which we seem to be).

<DIV>Counterattacks arn't all what it's cracked up to be.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My berzerker ends up *ENGAGING IN COMBAT* anytime he's just running through an area and an agressive monster attacks me, all because of a counterattack buff he had up at the time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway. Yeah we're better at reposting, and soon enough they'll change it so that we can do so at any angle, instead of just facing an opponent from the front.</DIV>

<DIV>Well seeing how I thought ripositing was counterattacking... ummmm... what exactly is it?</DIV>

Does it seem to you that Monks will be a bit better at tanking post revamp than Bruisers?  Cause seeing how their supposed to be better tanks post revamp and I love avoidance tanking, I decided to make one... But am having my head spin trying to decipher all the info out there and determine who seems to be the better tank.<BR></P>

<DIV>A reposte is where you strike your opponent before they have a chance to hit you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's possible to damage an NPC who attacked you because of this, but this wouldn't engage the mob in combat by itself because it's considered a natural defense, and you did not take any damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A Counterattack is when you attack an opponent back after he hits you first. You take damage and you damage them back.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For whatever reason, if a mob gets hit by a counterattack, it counts as engaging the opponent in combat, so it is a minor inconvenience.</DIV>
