Looks good. I especially like the look of the new control breathing. Hopefully it will make its way onto the test server soon so those of us not lucky enuff to get into beta can test it. If you have the time could you show the lower end of the control breathing spell line as well as thudering fists? (i think that gets upgraded to shocking hand doesnt it?)

I saw a guardian post his stats with 80% mitigation (capped) and 65% avoidance, how does that compare with your 38% mitigation and 68% avoidance? doesnt look fair to me.

Wasen't the point of this combat revamp to lower our dps and increase our tanking ability?

You are in defensive stance but your mitigation is the same as live.

what was your agil at Gaige to get 75% avoid. On live server 271 agil (self buffed) is giving me around 82.8% avoidance.

was wondering how much of a change we are looking at.

(no longer) Choo

50 Monk on (no longer) Butcherblock

Message Edited by Crunion on 08-10-2005 09:13 AM

Nice! Any experiences so far with our CA that were to increase DPS and Attack Speed? Just curious to see how those arts have changed.

with the pieces of information and Gaige's screenshot i'm not seeing much of a change to the solo monk here.

I don't really remember what adept 3 haste was but master 1 is 48% and it looks like they just broke the haste up to cover 2 skills instead of 1. I really only used 3 or 4 CAs when I solo'd and except for some stun and stifle changes and root being added they do the same (roughly) the same damage. Lunging Mongoose also seems to have had one of its attacked lowered so all are the same damage (trivial nerf) and stun removed.

I never really used any of our other CA's and now most of those seem to be our new tanking line with taunts, hate and such added to them. So no big lose/gain here from a solo point of view.

I always have and looks like always will rely on my weapons to generate most of my dps. with instant cast timers and the same refresh it should be alot easier to drop weak caster mobs. My only hope is that caster mobs also lose the ability to parry/block attacks.

HP's still seem low and even with the increased Mitigation WoF is still gonna bury a monk tank. As well as still rely on luck when a monk tanks. Which by first glance still leaves us from being a raid tank against epic x4 mobs, but time will tell on this one. I hope the DPS/Tanking ability within the fighter archtype is still staggered with monks being the middle of dps/tanking and the other 2 groups split between better tanking / sucky dps and better dps / sucky tanking.

Gnomfu

50 Monk on Faydark

Wisdom is suppose to have a purpose after revamp in how you mitigate spell damage.

Eeep. Shocking hand was looking so promising before... I was hoping for a constant buff that lets us proc a stun (the dd was a nice bonus) not an 8 hit melee damage bonus. Honestly its stun and constant chance to proc I want here, even if its not a very high chance, a Thunder Fists upgrade that perhaps even hits epics is what I had in mind. They seem to have reduced it to a situational ability for a little extra dps... Ah well, the rest looks alright for the most part but i was most looking forward to shocking hand so I am really bummed to see it totally killed like that.
