It's a very nice weapon indeed. It's actually called "Archaic Combine Greatstaff". The damage rating however, seems a lot higher than it should be. Maybe because it's mainly a situational weapon. In many encounters you will never utilize the full effect of the AoE proc. Also the delay is 2.3 which means it procs (10% chance) a lot less than RGF which has a 3.8 delay and a 12% chance to proc. I have both of these weapons, and the only time I ever equip the staff is during a King Zalak fight or during the Arch Lich encounters. The DPS on those two encoutners is a lot higher with that AoE proc (it's on like 75% of the fight easy), but again, it's very situational. Overall I prefer the RGF, it seems to do much more damage on a more consistant basis. <div></div>

<DIV>Dont forget, the dmg rating is given at the weapons peak performance, not at the level your using it at.<BR><BR>So that staff is 59.3 at 53, not 59.3 at 50.<BR><BR>I have this and RGF, I switch them out very often. I get bored on raids and love to parse my DPS over and over. Therefore on any encounter that is multiple, I leave one bag open so I can see my RGF. I use this till it procs, then swap, then swap back when the dot wears off. Its more work then its worth, and I only doit it for parsing reasons to get that extra dab of damage.</DIV> <DIV><BR>If I had to pick one weapon ultimately, I'd pick the RGF over this though. When I'm feelnig lazy, I just merely use the RGF. </DIV>

I'm not a fan of it, a zerker I know has it. Its decent sometimes but its not better than the RGF and ACGF combo in my eyes.

i Havent done tremendous amounts of parsing yet as its still new, but from what i can tell its way better then Acgf and rgf. I am not a fan of including procs for dps as they can be resisted depending on the mob/ mobs level. Raw dps from auto attack makes this weapon about 20-60 dps more then rgf depending on the group setup. Tic for tac, its a prefrence thing in the end. I prefer raw dps without including procs as anyone who played eq1 can tell you, proc dps is unreliable and resistable, thus making it situational. Just curious what is "the" monk weapon mentioned earlier that is supposed to exceed this. <div></div>

So in that respect one is not better then the other.</P> <P>2) Nobody I know, merely auto attacks, thats foolish. You have to factor in combat arts, reality, and reliable or not, procs are damage.</P> <P>3) I've parsed this weapon a lot. Just in general my opinion from procs, it can compete with RGF on multi group mobs, but against single, it gets beat down. </P>
