Best Animated/Looking Monk Race?

[Whym]

Came back to EQ2 after a bit of a rest and decided to start a monk since I have (suprisngly) enjoyed warriors in other games. I've always been more of a caster type. Right now I am trying to decide what race to be and have no real preference. I want something that is nicely animated and will look nice in whatever armor monks wear at high end. I am leaning toward an Iksar or Froglok monk. Betrayal is not a problem for me so thats not a factor. I have seen some NICE looking iksars. But sadly they all look the same (black and red, no matter how you tint it). Frogloks... I have seen no froglok monks so am war how they look and how their animations are. Would really like some input on that. <div></div>

Just messing around with looks a bit... and Gnome looks tempting as well. Was comparing animations to Froglok and gnome blew it away. Frogloks seems to have a really poor combat/taunt/toughness animation. <div></div>

Frogs have by far the coolest fighting animations imho, but we all know that half-elves are the best.

Are you sure on frogs having the best fighting animations? I have a gnome and frog up a bit on the isle and got em each a staff. The gnome has WAY better animations. The taunt the frog just waves his flipper while the gnome does a cool staff twirl. And when using the toughness ability... it was just horrible. <div></div>

oh yea forgot about frogs, yea they look awesome when they fight, by far the coolest, and the frogs i think only look cool once you get the kicks and roundhouses and crap, lvl a few up to around 15 brawlers and youll see the diffrence quickly <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Keep looking at frogs... now I am even having a harder time trying to decide between monk, dirge, or assassin! *sighs* Dirge is very tempting but so many things nice about monks. <div></div>

Our animations are very good, standard combat animations (I'm particularly fond of our baton animations). Our kicks are probably the most unique as well, we do a round house of sorts, but its verticle. <DIV>I was thinking Froglok for my Monk, but when I did the Froglok quest, I, too, saw the Frogloks training, and I did not care for the animations.  Therefore, I went Fury for my Froglok and Kerra for my Monk.  I have not regretted it.  I think the jump spin kicks look awesome when being performed by big kitty.  The 2-handed staff animations look great, too.</DIV>
