Hail and well met my Brothers and Sisters of the fist.

I’m hoping to find help here in the search for my weapon of choice.

I’m looking for a list of weapons, quested, dropped, or crafted of the BO staff variety.

I abolutely LOVE the fighting, taunting, and evading animations when using a BO staff. I’ve learned through trial and error that these animations are in effect when using a BO staff only and not a “regular staff” as it were.

When solo, and with no other life on the line than mine, I use ONLY a Bo staff and to you know where with DPS or optimal considerations, afterall, it’s all about how stylin’ you look when busting heads is it not?

Anyway, I’ve searched the EQII player station’s item DB with the keyword of “Bo” and found nothing, not even the “Elm Bo” my lil’ lv 9 Brawler/Monk to be is currently using. I’ve tried Alakazams using the same keyword and found nothing.

Any suggestions on what Bo staff weapons I should look for from quests, drops, or crafters? Can anyone provide me also with suggestions on how to upgrade as I grow? Such as:

From lv 10 to 18 use ???

From lv 18 to 23 use ???

Etc. Etc.

That type of thing.

I’m Qeynos aligned and play on the Antonia Bayle RP server if any weapons crafters happen to read this and would like a life long Bo Staff customer

Thanks all for your help with this.

Oh, and one of the only abilities I hate leaving behind on my Druid when I play other AT’s has been addressed for Monk’s today with the new Karmic Foucs, underwater breathing

I hate the thought of not being able to do something or just explore the oceans since I can’t breathe underwater, (that’s not the only reason I play a Druid/Fury of course, but it’s a big perk, hehehe).

If you read today’s patch notes, (July 21, 2005), you’ll see they’ve added underwater breathing to Karmic Focus, pretty cool IMHO.

Anyway, again, thank you all in advance for your help.

Take care,

Rhaegor, Monk to be and nOoB Extraordinaire

Antonia Bayle Server

Take a harvested stick to a woodwooker and they can make a bo staff for ya. As far as they waterbreathing thing goes, just get yourself a Fishbone Earring. Not too hard of a quest and Nektropos Castle is a total blast, especially your first run through.

I love Bo's and although there a quite a few that are dropped, more often than not you'll see crafted Bo sticks. What you have to consider is for every tier there is a "common" and a "rare" type of wood that can be used to make the Bo. Obviously the rare version would be preferred but will be a lot more than the common version (unless you get lucky and harvest your own). Below is the list of common and rare woods for given level.

Tier Level Range Common Rare

1 1-10 Elm Alder

2 10-20 Maple Bone

3 20-30 Ash Fir

4 30-40 Briarwood Oak

5 40-50 Teak Cedar

Keep in mind you can get dropped versions of the crafted items but they will either have no stats or lesser stats than the crafted versions. Also keep in mind that the class reward for becoming a monk is a Bo which will get you from 19-24ish. Hope that helps.
