I'm having a problem finishing this with my 24 monk. When I get near the Fanatic and have to kill a couple of groups to get to him, one of the mobs silences her for so long that I can't mend, FD or anything. I use every stun I have but it doesn't stop them from silencing. I end up dying or running without having killed a single gnoll in the group. Any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong or a way I might succeed?

Always go for the casters first, then the healers. Try using Indomitable Will and see if it removes the silence effect (worth a shot.)

Chanter's skills are based on mental, as opposed to arcane, elemental, etc., effects. Since Indomitable Will overcomes mental effects, if the one who is silencing you is a Chanter, Cusashorn's advice is sound. Give it a shot. I know Indomitable Will works great against Dazzling Traps, you know those ones that stun you and your group for a long time. That is based on the Daunting Gaze-type stun, which is a Chanter spell. And you can cast Indomitable Will to get out of it and run around making fun of your group while they stand there unable to move. So it may also clear the silence if it is a Chanter-based spell.

Target the caster in the group first, make liberal use of Shoulder Charge and your arts with "interrupt's target" effects, and try Idomitable Will if you do get silenced or long-term stunned.
