Slashing skill question

Through most of my lvling time I never really payed much attention to my skill gains.. but I noticed I think sometime after the 40's that slashing skill stopped going up.. I never really thought much of it.. cause I rarely used a slashing weapon type..  but the time to use slashing came up again once I hit 50.. and raids started to happen etc.. and through all of em.. my skill still hasn't increased any.. I'm not sure if this was discussed before.. but figured I'd ask and see if its a common issue or not. And I have tried a few other different weapons that are considered slashing that monks can use and still no skill change.. so I'm just curious etc hehe Talthos 50 Monk Monolith Steamfont Server <div></div>

Yeah there is a bug with some (if not all) the slashing weapons at the moment. I did a bug the other day. I currently use 2 pristine strengthened inbued cestii's and althougth it seems to use the slashing skill to check for damage attack (not sure how it works) it increases my crushing skill instead. <div></div>

All brawler weapons, either if it does slashing (cestii), piercing (cestus), or chrushing is based on the crushing skill. (I may have confused the names of the weapons) So if you equip your cestii for slashing damage, the to hit will be based on the chrushing skill and not slashing. That's why it's imposible to gain slashing skill as a brawler.

<div></div>I have the same problem except with piercing. My slashing is maxed as is my crushing (of course). I've never noticed and problems with piercing damage so I figured it must be a bug as well.
