What weapons should I get at level 30?

Hello all, I have eventually got to level 30 and am about to ding 31. I am still outfitted with my AQ gear, and will hold onto the awesome armour until I can use either the enchanted thicket armour or the emerald armour, does anyone recommend either of those over the other? I will get jewellry of questing or maybe buy some. So all that's left to sort out is my weapons. I am using pristine <span class="padded">Cuirboilli Spiked Cestus's atm, but they have turned blue or green can't remember, and I need to change them at most level 32 I think. Now the high quality pelts are selling for 16g on my server so I was wondering if I should splash my coin out on a pair of tier 4 rare cestus's again or fistwraps? Or does anyone recommend a good HQ or normal quest that drops an intereesting and good weapon alternative for my level? Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks </span><div></div>

T4 rare imbued would be great at your level, since you'd be able to get your money's worth out of 'em before they grey out.  I prefer cestii personally unless I find something that's slash immune, but go with whatever floats your boat.

Im using a pristine imbued brairwood spellbinders staff which i'm very happy with at level 32. <div></div>

I got 2 pristine imbued oak fighting batons and a pristine imbued oak greatstaff at 30.  Spend about a plat on all 3.  I probably would have just gotten the greatstaff if I could do it all over.  DPS is pretty much the same, gleaming strike goes off as much or more on the 2H because of their wonky proc system.  I only use the batons when I'm MT, which with my typical group is not often.

I'd guess it's for the extra +agi from the second weapon.  IMO, that's a smaller advantage than the extra ripostes are a disadvantage.

<P>thx for good info, Im almost 31 too. However I didnt see any answers on HQ or treasured weapons. I finished Stilettos order the other day and learned that Varsoon do not get hit by tradeskill weapons, only treasured ones. I still use the Starfall (blue to me), which seemed to hit him. But for the 30's, what quested/treasured weapon is ok? Are the SBH, Ghoulbane or the PTG or other good for monks? No idea if we can equip'em at all. Or maybe Varsoon is the only mob not getting hit by tradeskill weapons?</P> <P>Rumi 30 Monk Najena</P>

Except on epic mobs, you won't find anything with damage immunities or weapon quality immunities.  Once you get into your 40s, I recommend getting both a legendary crushing weapon and a legendary slashing weapon (cedar crafted staff and augmented leather crafted cestii) but except for Varsoon it's probably meaningless until you start raiding. <div></div>
