Where are my Slashing and Piercing Weapons?

<DIV>Hello... I'm level 45 Monk and started to think about I no longer get Slashing and Piercing skill ups? Is it that we no longer have to wory about it with FIST weapons? I mean I use my Cesti and it says slashing damage when I hit someone with it.</DIV>
