Zerks are aggro magnets. They have a ton of self hate buffs/beserk state procs/buffs and such will allow them to draw massive aggro. Add that with decent dps and duals and its tough. When I was a lvl 26 zerk before I crossed over to the monk class a few months ago, I had a buff called Blood Rage I believe that whenever I was stuck at all I went into a Berserk mode and raised my hate lvl every single hit. Even when melee'ing and not mt'ing I would somehow draw aggro. Only suggestion is that you try and pull with a Herioc Opp, then use our lines of taunts to hold aggro. If your taunts are at least adept1 and your dual weilding with good wps, may have a better chance. Just imho.

Well, off hand I would say to make sure he is assisting and attacking the same mobs as you. Also to make sure he isn't overusing AOE's. I don't play a beserker so I don't know if they can pop off lots of AOE's in a row.

What it really comes down to is that he should not be drawing large amounts of aggro on mobs that you aren't targetting. You haven't given much in the way of specifics but I assume this is what is happening and that when you lose aggro it is not on your targetted mob but on one of the others.

The fact of the matter is that I can do so much damage to a mob that if I want I can usually steal aggro if a barbarian is tanking even though they are taunting and doing damage. There's really no reason a barbarian should be able to steal aggro from you unless one of you is doing something wrong.

If it is a matter of the barbarian using a lot of AOEs then you might be able to mitigate it a little by throwing your own AOE whenever you can and throwing down your group offensive buff at the start of combat, even if you still have plenty of time left on it. Both of these will generate hate on all mobs, not just the one you are targetting.

On the other hand, if it's a matter of the beserker attacking mobs that you aren't targetting you're pretty much screwed. There won't be any real way to hold aggro under those conditions, but in that case it is really his fault that you are losing aggro and not yours.

Hope this helps.

Berserkers can generate massive agro. They've got a lot more AE damage than we do, and whenever their berserk procs it generates a bunch of agro. Because you aren't doing much to gain agro on the non-primary target, it's pretty likely that you're going to lose agro.

Best advice I can give: use your group buff (Call of Arms/Wisdom of Zephyl/Quiet Purity) whenever you can, hit your group taunt whenever you can, hit your PBAE damage whenever you can, and tell the berserker that he's probably going to pull agro on large number of mobs whatever you do. If your group has a cleric, then reactive heal agro should help keep agro on you. Ask the berserker to wait about ten seconds before opening up.

With my serk I can pull agro off of a MT 4+ levels above me who knows what he is doing..that doesn't mean I -should- do it though... the berserker can easily learn to scale his agro up in a encounter and allow the MT a chance to get agro on himself..

One of the characters I play is a berserker. They can generate aggro like no other I have found. Playing that character (when MT) I rarely lose aggro to another. When not MT I have to really watch what I do otherwise I tend to pull aggro off the MT a good portion of the time. Between 1 normal taunt, 1 AE taunt, 2 melee attacks that have the effect of +aggro with damage, some high damage attacks with special effects added in to them (a debuff and DoT among 2 of our harder hitting combat arts), group buffs, and going berserk periodically, it's tough to make more hate than they do.

Sorry for having to ask, but what are the effects of TV?

TV (Transcendant Vision) is the final upgrade to Staggering Stance. It's about 40% avoidance to your target, +3-4 deflection to you, and +10 tranquility to you.

Okay, so what he actually meant was Tranquil Blessing.

Tranquil Blessing decreases the agro generated by the buffee by an unknown amount.

LittleStuart hit it. I quite often group with a Zerker buddy. His AOE attacks are quite impressive and almost impossible to taunt off. But I have pulled single mob agro from him from time to time and I'm 7 levels lower than he is. BTW, I wasn't trying to pull agro as he is our groups MT. Its just the crazy damage we can do from behind really gets a mobs attention and he was probably eating and not taunting
