<DIV>The topic pretty self explanatory...but I've got a friend and we plan to duo a good bit and their heart is set on a monk...and I plan on being a healer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>While I'm partial to the Fury...just becasue I like the flavor of the storms and such...as well as their damage boosting abilites to further the DPS of the monk, I would like to know if the Mystic or the Templar would be better off overall for the duoing that we are going to do throughout the levels?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The wards seem to be really nice for a monk because of the fact that they completely take the shots off the monk...and I am afraid that a Fury Regen might fall behind if the monk starts getting beat down pretty hard. I am also trying to anticipate the next combat patch for this. And if at all possible I could use a link to that post, if there is one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At the same time, the Warden I could also play easily, I just havn't looked much into them. All I know is that they are more defensive than the Fury.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for the advice. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Vharcan on <span class=date_text>06-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:30 AM</span>

Hmm, any would work, but I'd say warden/mystic is the best choice at the moment.  Fury wouldn't be too bad though.

<P>Well if they fix mystics, they should be a good one. There wards are presently broke and stop damage pre mitigation and not after mitigation. I run a monk/warden combo and am very happy with it so far. But have a hard time keeping up with some of the tougher mobs out there at lvl 48 monk and lvl 46 warden. Things might change when I ding 50 with both......having a hard time xping cuz I've found a new past time........watching  the farmers and contesting there mobs. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> Wardens definatly have some nice buffs that compliment a monk.....+agi and +str mainly. But on the other hand, what the monk doesn't avoid...the mystic should have it covered. It's a toss up I guess. I know that I couldn't run both very well duel boxing a monk and mystic because the mystic takes a lot of attention. That is why I went with the Warden. </P>

<DIV>Up to level-32, you can get amazing exps (e.g. 2 levels per day) grouping with a templar. They can tank, do large amounts of DPS (espcially against undead) with HOs, and you can either tank or do normal DPS. If they tank, then your flank DPS will be very nice, making for quick fights against yellow++ group mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Jenjer</DIV>

<P>I agree that any would work.  I duo with a warden 80% of the time.  The buffs are a great help.  Fury would be just as nice.</P> <P>The problem you will face is when you need those white and yellow ^^.  The warden does not have enough direct heals to keep up with the aweful beating you will be taking.  And I mean aweful.  A Temp might be better in that respect though I'd guess you will run out of power before you get the mob dead - Wardens and Furies will do more damage.</P> <P>If they fix avoidance, then it wont matter.  Pick what you want.</P> <P>If they don't fix it, the it wont matter.  Just dont fight those ^^ until they turn blue   <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

I spent a while going back and forth on this when writing the FAQ and ultimately deleted it all and just left a wusstacular "they all work fine".  Because, really, they all do.  Even the clerics.  I'm twoboxing a bruiser/fury right now and they do just fine, though at 26 mobs haven't really gotten lethal yet. I would pick whichever one seems most interesting to you and go with it.  Don't worry about trying to pick the best; if that's all you are focused on, you'll end up with a grass-is-greener complex eventually.  Plus, they're rewriting the entire game right now and there's no telling what will be the best in a month or two anyway, so you might as well pick a healer theme that pleases you. <div></div>
