Hunting at 30, where to go?

I rolled over to 30 this evening and RoV has been treating me well. But now that Zek and EL are open, I'm wondering if I should be heading there for exp now. Also, Zek or EL, which is overall easir to get a group? Which has better gear quests or drops? The FAQ mentions Zek but says nothing about EL so I've been wondering. <div></div>

I don't know much about Zek but EL is real nice.  Most of the mobs around the zone in are non-KoS.  There are many quests to do, many of them giving a choice of armor as reward.  There are tons of things to solo and usually folks LFG for one reason or another.

<P><FONT face=Garamond size=3>I split my time about evenly between Zek and EL from 29-34 or so.  Both have tons of quests and great drops relative to the tier 3 zones.  I really liked the armor quests given by Hammer in Zek (Emerald Hide armor) and the whole progression of quests that start with the mess cook (troll on the beach near the dock) are a lot of fun.</FONT></P> <P><FONT face=Garamond size=3>Both are active zones with lots of LFGs.</FONT></P>

<P>Personally, my choice would be EL.  I've spent most of my time between 30-40 hunting there and it's worked out very nicely.  There are a lot of quests available right at the docks that are easy to complete.  There are gobs and gobs of things right along the coast (and just a little ways into the water) that are great solo/small group mobs to punch while you're LFG or if you feel like soloing.</P> <P>Also, when you get your level a little higher, you can hunt the Lamia (aka sucubus) that hang out along the shoreline away from the docks - they can drop Enchanted Thicket Armor, which is awesome light armor.</P> <P>When you get close to 40, you can start hitting Rivervale - the entrance is just a short run from the EL docks!</P>

<P>I went the EL route myself.  Due to my schedule and need to constantly afk some days, its hard for me to group and be a productive member, so I waited until 32 before going to EL.  At first I soloed turtles, then bugs, fairies, and so on.  32-34 only took about a week which was extremely fast for me since I often spent 1+ week per level...  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I also did any and every quest I could get my hands on and there is some really neat stuff to do out there.  I went into RV at 36 and was killing worker bees...everything in the immediate vicinity is non-agro except Mangler.  </P> <P>At 38, I decided it was time to visit Zek and, to be quite honest, am not sure which would have been better to start in...both are pretty cool with some neat quests, great landscape, and interesting stuff to do...so either is a good choice from my point of view...  </P>

I did Runnyeye from 29 to 34 and then Rivervale to 40.

Well it's been a few days, I'm up to 35 now. The first couple levels I wasted doing quests in EL. What a waste, 21 quests and 30 hours later I gained only 2 levels. None of the gear from the quests I did was worth while. I picked up a couple of pieces of Misthide though from requisitions which actually were worth it. I did part 33 in RE, also a pain, really slow. I finished off 33 with exploring exp from doing Jboots up to the Feerrott part with my guild. 34 and 35, later tonight 36 probably, all done in RV at the blight rats.
