<DIV>Last night, I was on the pickup raid run by Gorndax on Unrest and became the very proud owner of Darkfist. I have yet to try it (headed to bed after the raid ended) but I'm dying to see this in action:</DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://legacyofunrest.com/public/darkfist_raid.jpg"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>While I do realize it has no stats, I can certainly see this as being very useful. </DIV>

Unfortunately quite limited due to being treassured, and a rather low damage rating. But yes the proc is quite nice. <div></div>
<DIV>It's not terribly useful because it won't hit raid mobs (it's treasured); and the damage rating a little below the t5 rare crafted. It is a fun weapon however.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EDIT: Bah, beaten to the punch by Jez, one minute earlier.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Opaki on <span class=date_text>05-31-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:02 AM</span>

<DIV>It won't hit raid mobs that are groupx2? x3? x4? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>While we are at discussing what will and what will not hit raid mobs, will anyone please enlighten myself (and other viewers) what the requirements are to hit raid mobs? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know it is somewhat based on the quality of the item (fabled, legendary, treasured, handcrafted) as well as mastery level of the item vs. the mob's level. But any hard facts would be welcome.</DIV><p>Message Edited by stfields on <span class=date_text>05-31-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:11 AM</span>

To hit raid mobs you need legendary or better, and then depending on the mobs immunity, you'll need a certain damage type. For a brawler its best to carry a set of pristine cestus/cestii and then a crusher (all rare imbued) and then whatever fabled you get lucky enough to pick up.

<P>I've heard this Legendary or better theory myself, mind you, my Staff of Undead Legions is only a Treasured weapon... yet hit's Zalak just fine. On average 60ish DPS sustained parse using it on him.</P> <P>I've also heard a theory that claims if a Treasured item is lvl 50 in some situations it would work... in which case the Darkfist could be useful.</P>

So I figured it was some relationship between mastery level/quality.
best way is to go out and smack around some raid mobs.. you will find out quick enough

Let me hold your gear while you try. Wouldnt want it to get ruined and all just to test out a weapon.... <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

First off, you do not need legendary or better to hit an epic raid mob (wether it is x2 x3 or x4) as long as the raid mob is a ^^ raid mob. I fought plenty of epic x2 and x3 raid mobs where the main was a ^^ (double up). however, upon fighting ^^^ epic and above u better have legendary+ weapons.

<P>I have one, and it procs a goodly amount. While I use imbued weapons for raids/groups, this baby is great for when you're out soloing. It's saved my life a couple times now with a conveniently timed proc.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>Friday/Saturday I finally got to try this out against some raid mobs. What did I find? This might go against what other people are saying... so believe what you will:</P> <P>Damage lands on any epic mob (^^ or ^^^) whether it be groupx2, x3 or x4. </P> <P>The proc lands on any epic mob except the ^^^ x4 ones. </P> <P>I have no "uber fabled" weapons aside from my cedar cudgels and augmented cesti. So, when not fighting x4 mobs, I'm still undecided on which to use. For some reason, when I self buff, the damage rating on the Darkfist match the damage rating on the cudgels/cesti. So, it comes down to proc rate/stats. I can't really notice a difference on the parser as to which does more damage... but it seems that after I'm super-hasted, all I see every 10-15s is the silly flying skull proc effect going off. I kind of like it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I will say it has much better uses while normal groups than on raids. Any cases where you will have a long drawn out battle... the proc seems to counter our self-haste drain very nicely. </P><p>Message Edited by stfields on <span class=date_text>06-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:28 AM</span>

Not all monks have the items you listed. I have none of them. However, I bet the items you list have a better damage rating than rare T5 stuff. So, if a player gets their hands on that, it is a no-brainer. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But for those that do not have those items and are not only fighting group x4 mobs all the time, getting Darkfist while on a raid or picking it up off the broker isn't such a bad thing. I've found it to be very handy myself in my short time owning it, and I do have other comparable weapons (Heiro crook, T5 rare cestii and cudgels). </DIV>

I wasn't disputing it's effectiveness outside of raids, just during raids which more or less is what the previous topics were about <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But yeah, if you find this on the broker then it's pretty nice. But if you go on a raid to get it (Crypt of T'Haen:Vengeance), then you can at least get T5 rare crafted weapons, and I'd say the Royal great flail from the CL instance, relativly in the same difficulty zone <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
