<DIV>Simply... don't do it.  Monks are supposed to be good.  For those that aren't aware of what I am talking about, here's a little spiel.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Before the "training mobs fix" patch that went live recently, you (any class) could train groups of mobs past another group and sometimes those mobs would forget you and start attacking the other group.   This form of training was common in EQ1, well the game mechanics for training were common.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When the "training mobs fix" patch went live, it did indeed fix a lot of things.  Under normal circumstances, you could train huge groups of mobs past another player and as long as that other player (or group) took no hostile action towards the train, they would not aggro.  Of course, when the mobs return to their spawn point, if a group is nearby, they will get aggro - but that is obvious.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, there is one aspect that was not looked into and monks should be made aware of this.  When you FD a train that you did not engage, sometimes the mobs will immediately aggro whomever else is in aggro range.  Even though, in theory, the mobs should break encounter and run to spawn point.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is just a heads-up.  Expect some very angry fellow players if you FD grief them, even it is legitimately an accident.</DIV>

<DIV>You'd better go tell this to the bruisers then. They're the evil ones.</DIV>

before the patch it was quite easy.for example, at el beach near the mistgrimmins, i could train one of the heroic mobs into the water, then fd, and the mob would engage anyone on the beach fighting some solo goblin.

I accidentally broke someone the other day with FD: I was killing greys to get a stupid L&L quest update and feigned to reset the encounter right as Noobie McHotpants ran around the corner...

<span><blockquote><hr>stfields wrote: <div>Expect some very angry fellow players if you FD grief them, even it is legitimately an accident.</div><hr></blockquote>This was the case in EQ1 as well of course.  Locked encounters and the way aggro works makes it a little different, but it's always good to be aware of your surroundings when you FD so you don't accidentally give someone an unwanted present. I think the bigger problem is how prone players are towards jumping to conclusions in game.  I've been out harvesting at times and have had someone with a group of mobs making a beeline for me, run over the top of me, and keep going.  Was he trying to train me or was he just trying to get away and I just happened to be in his path?  Granted, there are people that intentially train out there but I think the assumption all too often is that accidents don't happen and they do! </span><div></div>

<DIV>I always do this when a group tells me im not a tank.  I just /disband and train + feigh death on them.  Then i stand up and watch them die while typing "you sure you dont want me to tank for you??"</DIV>
