<DIV>I have checked search but I just simply can't find a good answer for this....my question is how reliable is the damage rating on a weapon? For example, I have two 2h staffs; one that has a dmg rating of 13.9 and the other that has 18 ish. Both have the same damages though. And same delay. Damage rating im not certain about, but i can answer the question about DR being 5 less and still having the same damage/delay. Your damage scales with level when you use certain weapons. Yellow/Orange weapons will gain damage as you get closer to their recomended level. White or lower weapons will stop gaining damage each time you level. When you reach the recomended level the weapon will become white, and as you level beyon that it will become blue then green then grey the lowest. That 13.5DR wep has same damage now but when it gets to be blue/green It will have less damage then a White/Orange/Yellow weapons (sorry if i just managed to confuse you more)
As I understand it damage rating is based on the max damage on an item so; A staff with 18-30 at level 20 and a staff with 18-30 at level 15 will show the same damage rating to a level 15 eventhough the second one is immensely more powerfull. And yes, as I understand it dual wielder's damage ratings should be combined to get something you can put up against a 2 hander's rating. <div></div>

Are you sure you read them correctly? I have never seen weapons that had identical damage and delay but different damage ratings. Could you please post the name and stats of the weapons? <div></div>

It's a bug that happened to me several times.It's connect to the wisdom of zephyl / quiet purity buffs. which grant an increase to the dps.These DPS are not calculated into the weapons damage rating automatically.But upon inspecting a weapon, the damage rating gets updated and recalculated, using the dps increase from quiet purity. So the DR is higher after inspecting a weapon.Example (from my personal experience):I got two pristine imbued cedar quarter staves.When i inspect one of them, its damage rating gets updated. Suddenly, one quarterstaff has a much higher DR than the other. When i inspect the other one as well, both have the new, higher damage rating. Everyone can try this ingame.
