I'm interested in seeing how other monks are stacking up against their guildies on raids.  What are you parsing, who's parsing higher? THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO COME BRAG ABOUT HOW SWEET YOU ARE.  I really wanna know what you guys are pumping out. For the sake of providing information myself, here's some numbers from last nights Zek Raid wave mobs: (Using royal great flail) Wave 1: Warlock: 340 Shadowknight: 263 Myself: 238 Bruiser: 207 Berserker: 192 Wave 2: Shadowknight: 325 Myself: 311 Berserker: 219 Bruiser: 209 Warlock: 185 (He ran outta power) Wave 3: Warlock: 406 Myself: 319 Shadowknight: 285 Berserker: 231 (raged) Bruiser: 213 Your turn, perty please? <div></div>

I just need to post in reply because it looks like you're owning Toten in the DPS department. So theoretically I should be equal with him! <div></div>

<DIV>Burem, what are you using to parse those?  I used CombatStats while I was leveling, but it works poorly now that we don't get "You gain bonus xp for defeating this encounter" messages, and it only works on groups not raids.  I assume you're processing the logs later with another tool?</DIV>

Well, since that was a reasonable question i'll actually post in this thread again. www.thescoutsanctuary.com - Statalyzer You can have it monitor a log and show you the DPS for the fight right after it but it wont show you DPS during. <div></div>

<P>Hmm.  Statalyzer does sort of a poor job calculating DPS, unless they changed their algorithm.  It computes damage based on when you first attack till when you last attack, so if I waited until the end of a fight and dropped an Ice Comet I would get 2000 dps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Still, it's better than what I've got, so I'll give it a try.  Thanks!</P>

Combatstats does the same thing. <div></div>

<P>Not quite.  CombatStats starts the timer when any member of the group first does a point of damage, or when a member of the group takes a point of damage.  When it detects that an encounter has ended it divides the total damage inflicted by a member by the duration of the timer.</P> <P>Source: <A href="http://www.combatstats.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight" target=_blank>http://www.combatstats.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight</A>=</P>

I don't know my actual DPS per parsing, but I can do usually around 60 - 70k on King Zalak, while a Warlock does 140k and a swash is 70 - 80k and Assassin and Brig are 100k or so. I use Ironfist Knucklers and Marrian Cudgel. I'll go ahead and log a fight or two tonight, see what's up. As far as tanking goes, I'm afraid to tank Epic, although I have tanked flower(arcowhat'sit in Feer). It's not really for me, no matter how ub3r a tank we may or may not turn out to be, I rather stay behind a mob <span>:smileywink:</span>. I think our DPS is just right as it is, too. Can't beat out a Scout that knows what they are doing, but can take a few more hits than they can! <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <div></div>

Everyone should. OP had a simple question that was totally derailed for no apparent reason. How annoying since I was interested, even if it has *nothing to do* with the ability to tank!

<P>I'd swear my parser is broken (CombatStats).  I started using it earnest in the past week or so... and I'm normally in the "dps" group, and I outparse everyone (scouts and wizards, but I haven't been in group with warlock yet).  I think on Zalak, I was at 150 while others were at 120.  </P> <P>While my damage in the persona window was around 940, I figured that scout damage arts should do much better.  I don't have any of these "Royal Great Flails" or anything... I stick to imbued cedar cudgels and imbued augmented cestii. </P> <P>So, either my parser is broken... or monks do really good damage <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but will probably be nerfed <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <DIV>I got a pic somewhere to doublecheck those numbers.</DIV>
