Hey all I am on Mistmoore and just for curiosity the last couple days I have been tracking how many high lvl monks we seem to have on the server and its not many. I consistently only see 5 or 6 lvl 49/50 monks on at any given time and usually always the same names. Doing a /who all monk 40 50 usually nets me about 9 to 16 or so (never seen it hit 20), and I'm talking prime time hours of play. So whats the deal do you think? We took a hard hit with the whole agi nerf and then again with the str/damage nerf which wasnt as bad to us as agi but still......oh and lets not forget the newest FD bite in the butt. So where do you see this class going? I'm a bit apprehensive about the new combat changes coming, I want to think and hope for the best but so far I am not impressed with SOE's answers to problems. Reading these new some what cryptic posts by Moorgard regarding combat changes leaves me feeling less than positive. Ahh well I play this game for stress relief so i suppose if they continue to jack up the monk class or all melee classes for that matter I guess I can always create a caster. There are only a handful of level 45+ monks on Innothule as well, me being one of 3 level 50 monks total. in fact, the total number of monks level 20 - 50 on innothule is pretty low.

Last count, there were 8 50's on Innothule Flowin. Most of the ones I knew don't play much any more, now all I tend to see are you, Brice and I online.

Message Edited by Grabaan on 04-24-2005 03:02 AM

Very few monks on Oasis as well... often when I wear my AQ outfit (yep, even at 50 for looks) or use my Tiger-form, I'll meet many people who have -never- seen one or both...

If you have that advanced station access on your toon you can check your advancement history and see how many monks leveled ahead of you on your server. Last I checked there were at least 45 monks ahead of me (i'm at 44).

This is common actually. I think alot of monks were scrapped after the first agi patch when people gave up and moved on to play heavy armor tanks.A couple of weeks ago I checked my profile for eq2 players after gaining a level and found that I was the 9th Monk on Lucan server to Achieve 40 or 41 (Cant remember). It surprised me quite a bit to see that considering how long the game has been live. But after thinking on the issue, I figured it was due to how many monks had been deleted throughout some of the earlier patches.40 The Enchanted Lands March 17, 2005 9 41 The Tombs of Night: A Search For Answers March 21, 2005 9 42 The Feerrott March 26, 2005 8 43 The Feerrott April 4, 2005 9 44 The Enchanted Lands April 11, 2005 10 45 Rivervale April 16, 2005 10

Message Edited by Khudson on 04-26-2005 12:18 AM

There are many more Bruisers on Antonia Bayle than Monks. That being said, there's probably oh...maybe 15 of us over 45. There's about 30 Bruisers.
