LvL 20 Monk Questions

<DIV>Hello all, I just returned to EQ2 after a 3 month break. I just dinged 20 with my Barb/Monk and can't decide on "specialized training". Feign Death Adept II sounds good, but wanted to check with you guys. Also is there a guide, etc. on what spells replace older ones? We get so much it gets confusing. Also can someone give me their hotkey setup (e.g. tanking/group key setup, solo, etc). Are there spells that aren't worth upgrading/ What spells are the most important to upgrade?. Remember im only lvl 20. Thanks.</DIV>

I really really recommend Lu'Sun's stifle.  I still use it every time it's up (10 seconds) at 49.  The FD upgrade isn't as good as the later normal FDs, and +14 agi on a deflection buff isn't a very meaningful increase. <div></div>

I agree with bonesbro. I choose the stifle and I love it.

<P>Everyone I talked to agreed on the advanced feign death, because it is better than the level 28 Play Dead at Adept 1 until the mid 30's.   </P> <P>I'm not sure this is still correct though, due to recent Feign Death changes.</P>

I always try to pick a training skill that will be of use for the entire career of my toon. If Lu'Sun's Stifling Dragon is still being used at Lv49, I'd suggest going that route. <div></div>

<DIV>I took the Martial Focus power at level 20 and I've STILL not replaced it at level 35.  Karmic Focus currently provides the same Deflection boost, but no agility.  Maybe in another level or two the Deflection from Karmic will be come superior.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And if so, I never used the free /respec from a while ago...I wonder if its still active?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wouldn't be surprised if there was another /respec given out to everyone once the new combat tuning goes live, though.</DIV>

Update: still using Lu'Sun's Stifle at 50.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  In a way it's even more valuable now - by timing stuns, Silent Fist, and Lu'Sun's, I can almost completely prevent a mob from using combat arts or casting.  Assuming I never miss of course. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Anyone know if we can still respec now?
