Whats the deal with Darting Sparrow/Lunging mongoose line of attacks, it seems every time we go for a big "boss" type mob I get message "Target to pwerful" and the art wont work. Real nice considering its our best damage attack!!

Oh and the charging tiger attack works on these mobs which is a stun so why wont mongoose?

<DIV>Check out the combat art details, has a line of this does not effect epic encounters..or something to that extent. My experience is lunging mongoose works on epicx2^^ not the Epicx2^^^+</DIV>

<DIV>The Winters Talon line also has the same limitation. These are two of our strongest attacks and they cannot be used in raids. General wisdom is that we are not the best raid tanks, which means we should be there for buffing and DPS. Wiping out two of our best DPS-style skills seems to be a little silly. Perhaps balancing monk damage against scouts for raid encounters?</DIV>

Usually, upgrading these lines to adept 3 or master variations will in fact allow you to use them effectively against the harder epic mobs.

<DIV>When I got Icy Talon (Adept 1) I no longer saw the message about it not working against epic mobs. Only my Darting Sparrow at the moment has this.</DIV>

I'm a tank. I don't want to waste a ruby on a dps attack just to be able to use it on raids.I can see why stunning / stifling a raid mob might not be the best idea for game balance. But the stun effect could be removed from these spells when hitting epics, just leaving the raw damage. Make epics immune against those effects, so we can use the CAs again.

<P>I wouldnt say never, Rapid swings itself works on raid mobs and epic mobs :-p at adept 1. Its the darting and lunging line that dont. No clue on the upgrade atm, i just got adept 1 lunging mongoose and it for sure says it wnt work on raids. Gonna wait till 50 before i upgrade my skills though</P> <P>Its not just monks, almost every class with a attack with a stun effect cant use it on raids, the fact one of our pure stuns does works sounds more like a tool since the dmg on it is very minimal</P>
