My monk is 24 and just completed armor quest 6. I'm just wondering if there will be any more unique looking monk armor (similar to the look of the armor quest stuff) after lvl 30 or whether I will just go back to looking like every other leather armor-wearing class? Thanks.
Message Edited by ElBurrito on 04-18-2005 11:01 PM

No, so make sure you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT get rid of the Arms, Tunic, Slippers, or Pants if you want to keep the look for later on.

Enchanted Thicket Woven Armor from the Enchanted Lands is pretty sweet looking though. Pretty *$%#&! good stats too.

Well I dont know about the unique but emerald hide armor from zek and fog grimm from el are pretty nice choices for quest armor. Also later on you can put on those enchanted armor pieces from EL lamias which have great look and pretty nice stats. Haven't compared these to playermade stuff tho.

The enchanted armor from EL has awesome stats, but it is severly lacking in the mitigation. I have been trying to decide if I should get this, to replace my emerald hide. The mitigation will be way less, but my stats would be WAY more.

I tank ALWAYS. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance!

Message Edited by Alaile on 04-19-2005 09:10 AM

I consider augmented to almost be "unique" monk gear. It looks pretty nice, in my opinion. You also very rarely see Warden/Furies wearing any of the pieces.

If you care about "looks," stay away from the engraved leather look. You will turn into potato sack. Its horrid. Etched leather gear has a very nice graphic... especially after wearing the white pajamas.

Would be nice to have a new suit available to you. Suit I have in mind...well, if you have seen Drunken Master 2, what Jackie Chan wears as he enters the battle in the foundry. Granted it would have to be tweaked a little for the local flair but it would be nice.

Or Click Me to See!!!

I love the armor on all the quest npcs during the FBSS quest.. legendary journeyman boots share the same boot grafic with the rest of the suit. It looks very fitting for brawler types, both good and... less good lol.

It can be seen here on a halfer

http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/bestiary/Burdop.php

Agree. Enchanted Woven Thicket all the way. Mitigation is a little worse than Emerald Hide, but the stats are sick. Every piece has STR and AGI, and lots of it.

You can buy it for 3-4g per piece, usually. Or better, go up to the north beach in EL and mow down Lamias for a couple of hours. Great exp solo and they drop chests pretty darn frequently.

Oh yeah. The only major problem I am finding about Enchanted Thicket Woven Armor is that while my Magic and Mental resistances have been boosted sky-high, my other 5 resistances have actually suffered heavily.

I got nuked by monsters more than 3 levels below the grey line today.

I loved the Enchanted Thicket armour. Cheap and makes you tough as [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot].

I like pristine tailored augmented. And the blood drenched gi. But other than that, no
