Best possible is Pristine Tailored Engraved (Tier 4 Rare), with both the tunic and pants imbued. That will set you back.

Not having unlimited funds, I went with a set of Pristine Tailored Etched (this was before the days of imbuing). The etched set also looks very cool. I very quickly upgraded to D'Morte Kindred helm and Shoulderpads (these drop in the D'Morte instance in Nek). They both have +STR and +AGI, which the Etched stuff does not.

Later (at 35), I went to the Emerald Hide set (series of quests given by Hammer near Zek entrance). Another good one is Netliz' Blessed Cuirass, which comes from the Goblin Rampage quest in Runnyeye, which you can wear at 32.

Message Edited by Morrolan V on 04-18-2005 03:05 PM

I didnt see any 'best' armor at lvl 30 like lvl 20 (Pristine Cuirboilli was the bomb in the 20s).

There is pristine engraved armor, but its only marginally better htan Cuirboilli but alot more expensive.

Depending on what your job is (tank or dps), kinda depends.

For me, I tank with a Blood Drenched Gi and dps with (I think I have Sigil Painted Robe - really any robe/tunic with good str/agi).

My legs are Lureclaws which I think are good for tanking as well. Still use Boots of the Fallen Spirit. Everything else is kinda random.

Weapons I use Tonfa of Bladewarding and Pristine Imbued Oak Baton. Still wishing for Rock-Forged Cestii or something else upper tier for weapons.

i bought great weapons n jewelery, and am wearing my AQ armor till 35. at 35 you can equip the emerald hide armor from Zek's Hammer's quests.. they arent as good as t4 rare but they are free. i did this because i am saving most of my gold for lvl 40 when ill buy all T5 rare equipment.

I like Woode's thinking. The AQ armor looks great and so does the Emerald.

Personaly, I went with a full set of D'Morte leather at 30 because there is a lot of Agi/Str/Sta on it, and almost no useless INT/WIS. It will even out at 35 and I'll then use Thicket armor.

My only issue with the D'morte gear is that the mitigation and resists are really poor. If you are tanking, only get the helm and shoulders, since they have "uncommon" stats for those slots.

The stats on engraved leather (mob dropped) is just short of the rare crafted versions. The price on HQ pelts have fallen off steeply now that the Manastone quest no longer requires it. They are still about 40g on my server. That's actually good because they used to sell for 2p.

pants would be 'enchanted pants of the timetwister'. they dropped in nek castle off crysta everling and have AC 211, Str 10, Int 14, Health and power +36, cold and poison +270 last time i saw them for sale on mistmoor they were around 2pp though.......hug lucky drop They also look very nice with a set of emerald on

The crafted rare chest blows everything else out of the water at T4 - too bad all of the rare stuff looks hideous T4 pelts are as cheap as 15-20g on MM, now, so a few rare crafted pieces are not out of the question. The chest has 9 agi or so and very nice magic resist - it would be even better if imbued.

just wear pristine tailored etched armor, dont kid yourself by getting rares before 40.

Agree that rare armor for tier 4 is probably a waste of platinum.

As to weapons and jewelry, I used 2x oakwood batons in my early 30s and 2x oakwood quarterstaves in my mid-late 30s. Have started using Branch of the Treefolke quite a bit of late.

Jewelry - get the Ancient Watcher's Ring of Agility (quest to kill Vindiami the Watcher in the Condemned Catacombs off of Antonica). Think you can wear that at 33.

You can also do the Augur quests in Nek, Zek and EL. These give good jewelry (particularly the bracelets) and are pretty easy.

Also, do the Belt of the Outland Brigade quest. This is THE best belt I have seen for tier 3 (+5 Str, +5 AGI). I wore it for 2-3 levels after it went green. This quest is given by Captain Sturman in TS -- he is near the bridge keep. You must do the whole series of quests given by Captain Eiota (near NQ gates in Antonica) to open up the quest from Sturman.
