Monk VS. Bruiser skills, animation

What really is the difference between Monk and a Bruiser? Every post I've seached says Monks are tranquil and Bruisers are brute force but What the Heck does that mean?? How are Bruisers skills different from what Monks get?  More offensive? Are the animations different on Monks? <div></div>

<DIV>From what I understand, bruisers are more offensive (in more than one sense :smileytongue: ), and monks are more defensive.  I believe the monk gets more, or at least better, defensive abilities than the bruiser, and the bruiser gets more and/or better offensive abilities.  I know I've been out-DPS'd by an equivalent bruiser.</DIV>
