<div></div>I've taken a stab at writing a Monk FAQ.  The first draft is available at <a href="http://216.254.21.115/monk/monkfaq.htm" target=_blank>http://216.254.21.115/monk/monkfaq.htm</a>.  I'm tired of typing so I'll get to the other questions later this weekend. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div><p>Message Edited by bonesbro on <span class=date_text>04-16-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:40 AM</span>

<DIV>Very nice bones !</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd say that your descriptions of Monks and our abilities are spot-on and are all very fair assesments of what we can do in-game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thumbs up !</DIV>

<P>personally i think you should avoid having sections of "avoid this skill" and "recommend upgrade this skill"</P> <P> </P> <P>however you could add a section of known bugged skills (thats not really a FAQ thing though)</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P>but it looks good so far!</P> <P><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

Well, "what skill should I upgrade to adept3/master" is a very frequently asked question.  I've tried to distill the general advice that I remember from responses, though I'll go read through those threads in more detail. <div></div>

I'll try to fill in the rest of the blanks this week. <div></div>

<DIV>Excellent first draft, Bones.  I am sure I am not the only one that thinks this, but you may want to add our feign death line to the recommended skill upgrades.  Feign death is by far one of the best skills in the game and has allowed me to venture to many places that the other fighter classes, let alone most of the other classes, couldn't.  Not to mention how many times it has prevented group wipes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At adept 1, wind walk invises up to level 42 mobs.  Any idea what master 1 is, if the upgrades aren't that great?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cogglesprok Gearfist</DIV> <DIV>43 gnomish monk, Lavastorm</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kurai_Mitsukai on <span class=date_text>04-20-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:53 AM</span>

Ok.  I'll need to collect data on what the upgrades do.  Anyone happen to screenshot a pre-upgrade and post-upgrade skill at the same level? <div></div>

<DIV>Good FAQ.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Couple of points:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On 18. Dual Wield weapons and proc rates. Are you sure the proc rate is halved? Can you provide a link. This seems to counter the limited testing I've done.</DIV>

I was thinking about starting a monk as an alt and I must say this was a very helpful, well thought out FAQ. Thank you very much. I do believe I will be starting a monk (pretty sure it will be Kerra) I just have to say though... vermicious knid... LOL someone has been watching/reading Wonka again Bookmarked the guide though. Cheers! <div></div>

I have added information on the training choices.  I don't have full descriptions for them yet - it would be very useful if someone could screenshot the training window so I can get the flavor text.  Also, screenshots of the skills once they've gone grey would be extremely useful, as I want to include the full examine information on each skill. <div></div>

The formula for calculating the true proc rate is (WeaponDelay / 3.0) Times proc percentage. So a weapon that display 7% chance, with a delay of 1.5 has a true proc rate of 3.5% per swing. A weapon with 12% and 3.8 delay has a true percentage of 15.2% per swing, and last a weapon with 1.9 delay and 5% shown proc rate has a 3.1% chance to proc every swing. <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=items&message.id=30217#M30217" target=_blank>Source</a></span><div></div>
