I've got both staggering stance and martial discipline at master 1. Some patches ago, i could cast both at the same time, but now i have to decide for one. At least i don't have to recast them all the time.here is a screenshot of the spells:<img src="http://www.zaboron.de/master.jpg">So i ran a test which of those two is the better. Grouped with a friend, removed all buffs and looked at my avoidance.here are the results:Unbuffed:Base: 40,5%Parry: 32,4%Deflection: 41,5%altogether:76,5%Staggering Stance:Base: 41,6 %Parry: 33,0%Deflection: 42,3%altogether: 77,4%Martial Discipline:Base: 40,5%Parry: 32,4%Deflection: 41,5%altogether:76,5%So, the 3 points of deflection martial discipline is supposed to grant me, don't have any effect at all! Even worse, the skill panel shows an increase of 4 points.Ok, the avoidance given to someone else is 41% instead of 32% - but it shouldnt really matter if i am the mt.Is martial discipline bugged, or is this increase of deflection simply not shown in the avoidance rating? Is there some reason for using martial discipline over staggering stance when you are the mt?Oh yeah, i know the spell still is yellow, but i got tranquility at 211 with sweeping crane, and the spell is mastered at 213. I don't hope for big improvements on those last two points. My Agi is at 156, so +15 agi shouldnt really make a big difference as it is already nerved.Does anyone else have similar experience on this spell?

<P>obviously if you are tanking yourself you should use staggering,if you are not mt use martial discipline..thats what i do.Im not sure how it works, but a 1% increase in avoidance seems to have a bigger effect on mobs lower lvl than you,its as if it ramps up on mobs that are a lower lvl,and makes you in some cases unhittable.</P> <P>It does seem odd that the martial discipline is actually quite crap, and most of the time i use staggering,as im still mt almost all the time, unless there is a higher lvl fighter in the group.</P>

<DIV>side note..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>anyone notice that if you group up, cast staggering stance on someone, and then leave the group -- you still keep the +15ish agility?  hopefully sony slacks on fixing this bug <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>That's a side effect of the "toggling".  My transcendant vision does that as well.</DIV>
