Correct me if I'm wrong but - Master wu's trance stick was a Kunark drop? And the tailoring for Master Wu's armor wasn't implimented until kunark as well...

Message Edited by Aegien on 04-04-2005 12:14 PM

Would be kinda cool to see Wu's Fighting gear show up before the first expansion. The original piece (Wu's Fighting Gauntlets... nothing too spectacular, except they were a light source that didn't eat up an extra inventory space and they were monk armor, special texture and all) showed up well before Kunark, so no reason why it can't make an appearance in EQ2 before the first expansion even gets announced.

Master Wu's Trance Stick would make a lovely heritage item as well, along with Essence of Dol (fighting batons already exist as a normal weapon, so no reason to make those heritage). I can see those waiting 'til the expansion though.

I heard that snuffleupagus was going to be a new playable class in EQ2, I can't find any information on it though. Why'd you even post this? If it hasn't been posted by a dev, ie. we can find it here it isn't true, has zero credibility and isn't even worth the time to take posting it, thinking about it or otherwise.

Why not for Fighting Batons?

The gauntlets were pre-kunark...one of the first really magical items that I can recall being introduced into the crafting world

Heh, I remember spending ages scrounging up the ingredients for those. Nice to know heady kiola is still alive and well in EQ2.

Yup pre-kunark (ie monk twink era) this was one of the only ways a monk would be able to get a magical hand to hand attack (ie no weapons) that was back before monks were the uber damage dealers they turned out to be in Kunark days though =+)

On a somewhat related note, a designer did say that they planned on adding more heritage quests - even some that were tradeskill based...

Of course, I'll bet that all the items you need for the combines are rare mob drops off of named or all the ingredients, including subs are T5 rares.

Would be nice to have that coldian shawl quest they had in EQ1.

I heard fungi is no drop in eq1 now and they're moving it to eq2 as tradeable.

I heard the Gauntlets of Gage will be in EQ3, and they will at +20 to Sexiness, +20 to Getting Chicks and +10000 to posting :smileysurprised:
Heh, don't forget the effect - "Lure of the 1 star ninja"

Had to do something to make up for the utter lack of monk-specific gear besides cured silk (and wu's gauntlets), treant fists, Robe of the Lost Circle, and shiverback hide armor.

I'd love to see celestial fists as a monk heritage quest :smileyhappy:

but then you know other classes would want their epics too and that just wouldn't work..

*shrug* Why not, aside from the fact that some of the EQ2 subclasses are basically two aspects of an EQ1 class (e.g., fury and warden, warlock and necromancer)?

Bruisers could use the Bst epic claws, or they could get their own unique epic.
