<DIV>I just got Diving Dragon, and I upgraded it to Adept 1, but I can't decide which would be better to use.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Goran's Slumbering Dragon:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Power 57</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Slows Target by 17%</DIV> <DIV>Decrease's target attack speed by 10%</DIV> <DIV>Does 293 crushing damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Diving Dragon Adept 1:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Power 57</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>does 259 Crushing damage</DIV> <DIV>does 32 damage on initial hit.</DIV> <DIV>does 25 Damage-Over-Time for 4 seconds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its evident that Diving Dragon is more powerful, but the speed decrease is kinda handy too...</DIV>

<DIV>I have three words for you: DoT stacking issues. Okay, that's an acronym and two words, but still... :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From what I've seen and heard, all of the monk arts that have a DoT effect will not stack. If you land a lower one and then a higher one, the higher one overwrites the lower one. If the bigger one lands first, or if it's the same one twice before the DoT expires, the second attack won't land at all. It won't even go off. If Slumbering Dragon doesn't include the DoT effect, it should land even if there's a DoT from a monk art still in effect on the target. I could be wrong, since I have no way of testing this, but that's my understanding.</DIV>

<DIV>I LOVE Goran's Slumbering Dragon...I don't expect I'll give it up for Diving Dragon when the time comes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Especially if I'm soloing, it's incredibly nice to be able to:</DIV> <DIV>1) Haste myself 30% with Everburning Flame</DIV> <DIV>2) Haste myself an additional 10% using Beslin's Boastful Posture (level 10 training skill - still very useful after level 30!)</DIV> <DIV>3) Slow the enemy 10%</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't even tried out the slow from my hex doll yet, but with just the 3 above you're looking at a pretty massive swing in attack speed - more than enough to counteract the reduction you might get in DPS from using a defensive buff like Brawler's Stance or Sweeping Crane.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>But I don't group with other monks very often...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ehh, I'll play around with it a little just to see what it's like, but I think I'll stick to Goran's.</DIV>
