<DIV>47 Monk here and though I love my Crook, I am looking for the ultimate Bo staff in game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have seen the Odusian Bo. Wish I knew how to get it. Somewhere near Venekor in CT. But I still am not sure that is the best that we can achieve or that it is any better than the Heiro Crook in the end.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone?? Don't be shy....</DIV>

<DIV>Do you mean great staff or two handed? They have different animations. I'm not really sure what *the* best is, haven't seen a lot of master chest 2h staffs <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I'm thinking he means the best staff out there that uses the bo staff animations (very Matrix-esque... wonder why :smileytongue: ), which I must say are probably the most spectacular combat animations I've seen yet.

Its a great staff. That's why I never used it.<BR>

Just out of curiosity, are there *any* monk-usable heritage weapons besides the crook and the screaming mace? And while I'm at it, is the mace one-handed or dual wield?

Mace is 1h and no.

So aside from the crook there are no worthwhile monk-usable heritage weapons, and I hate using great staff so I'm probably not gonna bother with the crook. This makes me a sad panda. :smileysad:

I use the Hierophant's Crook but since I hate the great staff animations, I switch to Tiger Style. Since I am usually tanking anyway, it helps me to stand out, which I think is important as the tank.
<P>Not sure on that... but</P> <P> </P> <P>Got a 1hb other night called Marran Cudgel sweet weapon maybe ill post a screeshot later.</P> <P> </P> <P> 1hb +17agil +13 strength +49power+42health 12% chance to proc each hit, 173-288 damage ancient strike 28-84 damage</P> <P>27.5 damage rating 1.7speed anyway nice club havent seen it before on any server. Crook is a druid esque weapon. Not a monk weapon <div></div>

<DIV>There really weren't any monk-specific weapons added into the game untill Kunark came out anyway. Before Kunark, the best we had were Whitened Treant Fists from a quest that started in Kerra Isle, but those got nerfed, and Treant Fists from the Plane of Air.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Otherwise we basicly just had our regular fists (which were still the most powerful weapons in the game at that time) and weapons that we shared with other classes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can be sure that monk heritage items will open up in due time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can you say T-Staff? I knew you could...</DIV>
Bo's belong to monks, crooks belong to druids or priests. <div></div>

Still kinda sad that Mithril Great Staff was warrior only, would've been a lovely monk weapon. Guess it wasn't major enough to make the cut as a heritage quest, either.</P> <P>Oh, and for a truly distinctively monk weapon, I think Ton Po's Bo Stick of Understanding would be better than T-Staff. :smileyvery-happy:</P><p>Message Edited by IrulanDunedancer on <span class=date_text>03-29-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:05 AM</span>
<DIV>Weapons, Shmepons.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not really, I just wanted to say that. I'm betting on Class Specific Heritage quests being in the first Expansion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For Monks, I can see Robe of the Whistling Fists, Robe of the Lost Circle, maybe Ton Po's Bo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For Bruisers, I could see Knuckledusters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For Rangers, I could totally see a Silver Swiftblade, but unfortunatley, they can't use two handers in this game. Bleah. Maybe the Orc Impailer and the Short Sword of Morin. It's easier for Heritage quests for people who can use swords/daggers anyways, right?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Ilina</DIV>

<DIV>Epics. Must have my bubble fists. Besides, you can't have anything more class-specific than the epic weapons (or gloves in the case of monks).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, maybe they could have the PoF/PoH drop armors as a high level second AQ series. I know I'd love to have a full suit of shiverback-hide armor (as long as the stats made better sense on the EQ2 version than they did on the EQ1 version... 5 int on monk gloves??).</DIV>

<P>I'm glad that everyone is enjoying remembering what was and what might be on this thread but I am looking at the reality of now.</P> <P>Anyone know of any 'existing' weapons?</P>
<P>I had thought of epics coming back as heritage quests, but that would be difficult as EQ classes do not = EQ2 classes. If they make epics, they'll be completley new ones.</P> <P>-Ilina</P>

<P>Idunno, could see monks getting Celestial Fists, bruisers getting something like the Claws of the Khati Sha (Beastlord epic), guardians getting Blade of Tactics and Blade of Strategy, 'zerkers getting the zerker epic from EQ1... can see how it might be problematic, since a lot of the classes in EQ2 are just split versions of EQ1 classes (e.g., illusionist and coercer).</P> <P>Still want mah bubble fists though!</P>
