Combat Arts

I was wondering if anyone has looked into how important upgrading combat arts is? Should I be spending silver on upgrading my arts that would soon get replaced by upgraded versions?  Should i invest in armor/weapons instead?  Is it most effective to slighty upgrade all arts or concentrate on a few?  Is the jump from apprentice to adept in an art larger than within the apprentice grades? Thanks for any comments!   BTW, I have a 20 monk on Toxx server. <div></div>

app2 is very cheap, and I would get appIV, but usually greedy scholars will try charge more for app4s than an adept would be. If you check evil and good broker a lot you will find a very cheap adept <div></div>
