My first experience with a Monk as the MT

<DIV><FONT size=2><FONT size=2> <P>Good morning all</P> <P>I am a level 48 Mystic on the Neriak server. Last night I had the opportunity to join a pick-up group in Permafrost, my first trip there. The group consisted of a 48 monk (MT), 48 SK, 48 Wiz, 44 Coercer and 45 Swash. This was my first experience (since level 20 or so) with a Monk at the MT. </P> <P>As a Mystic, I am very familiar with the trouble our wards have post level 30, and I am also aware that some Mystics claim that we work best with an "avoidance" type MT. I was anxious to see how this played out.</P> <P>I was amazed at how well the Monk did as MT - - - amazed because I was finding it MUCH easier to keep up with his healing than I do with the berzerker and guardian I usually group with. With the combination of me giving him a ward "pre-pull" which gave me a few seconds to get my debuffs on the mob or mob(s), then keeping wards on him worked very well. We easily killed a named that had wiped the party a little earlier. We went deeper in PF for experience, killing 48^^ - 50^^ as well as normal and one ^ giants in the 48-50 level range.  The only problem we had was when we got a named add that killed the coercer and I didnt realize fast enough the situation and was too slow on getting it debuffed.</P> <P>Anyway, I want to compliment Xaices on the Neriak server for being an awesome MT last night and pass on my very favorable first impression with a Monk as a MT.</P> <P>Frellya</P> <P>48 Mystic 22 Tailor</P> <P>Neriak</P> <P> </P> <P> </P></FONT></FONT></DIV>

Very nice to hear! But I must say, I'm very surprised.  A lvl 48!?! Mystic that's never grouped with a monk?  Well known we stack well, how did this happen? <div></div>

<FONT size=2></FONT> <DIV>Hello again.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I started EQ2 with a small group fo friends (6 of us to be exact) and the two warrior classes chosen were berzerker and guardian, so I have group pretty much exclusively with them (say 95% of the time).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Hello, im from Storms <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> i cannot say about your server over there, but here monk aboves level 30 are a rarity. So her not temaing with one aint odd to my ears <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> its like Defiler, i have saw about 3 so far and i am 32 : ) never grouper with one : x <div></div>

I am truely humbled.</P> <P>I have got to give credit to Frellya tho, She is by far one of the best healers I have grped with in game to date.  Some of those Named Mobs were not the easiest of openents and she kept this monk alive beeing the only healer in the grp.
