<div></div>My avoidance is 76.0% as stated in the profile, I have 76.0% chance to avoid a hit from a level 44 opponent. Numbers I did the past 2 hours: I fought level 44 ice skellies in Everfrost. My monk is level 44. My hit ratio was between 90.5% - 78.8% The skellies hit ratio was between 54.4% - 28.8% I did about 35 or so solo fights using a parser to determine hit % Average hit ratio from the skellie was 38.7%, which means i was only avoiding average 61.3% of hits. Nuff said. __________________________________________________ _ I decided to fight a level 45 mob, northern stags, in everfrost to see what a level jump does. I avoided on average 54.4% of hits. so, an even mob was 61.3% while a mob one level above was 54.4% Quite a large percentage jump in avoidance for one level. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Paraxis on <span class=date_text>03-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:19 PM</span>
did you figure out what percentage of skills landed and regular melee? maybe skills ignore avoidance so they were a higher percentage, and melee was actually the correct percentage? <div></div>

hmm...doing it now...interesting. seems the standard melee is pretty feeble, avoided 87.2% of it. the mob caombat arts hit for an amazing 67.7%, so i was only able to avoid mob combat arts 32.3% of the time. good thinking to check the combat arts and regular melee <div></div>

Those frights are also the masters of parry :p I find the frights harder to kill than the lvl 49 glacier bears... <div></div>

Good post. Data like this definitely helps make a better case for the issue than the typical "well my friend was able to kill random_mob_1 with ease but I couldn't get it past 40%" responses.

Any others of you parsers that have time, this would be something good to gather more stats on. This would be an area where the simple numbers shown in the persona wouldn't be what was actually going on in the game...probably as intended I would think, as it makes sense to me that special attacks would get blocked/avoided a bit less than regular attacks, but it will also skew the numbers in game from what they come out to if you just plug them into a formula of X attacks for Y damage avoid Z% of them and mitigate W% of the ones that land.

Yeah, would be good to see more people get a parser and do a few avoidance percents. But, when it tells me i have a 76% chance to avoid attacks, it should mean all attacks, not just regular melee. Wish they would clear things up a bit. <div></div>

<FONT size=2> <P>Very good data collection, it’s just a shame those of us in the brawler category need to keep going through this data to see if we’re functioning as intended. </P> <P>As it stands, I’ve just decided to take the numbers with a grain of salt and go about my business as usual. It’s pretty misleading as far as I’m concerned.</P></FONT>
