<DIV>Now that the new changes to the way AC is broken out by mitigation and avoidance, I was hoping too be able to really get some good info on the usefulness of this spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, after several raids tonight, I can tell you that this spell seems to have absolutely no concrete effect on your target whatsoever. Avoidance didn't change, Deflection never budged. Nothing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Disappointing to say the least. :smileymad:</DIV>

I dont see Spider Stance adept 1 helping me alot either... it only adds .9% <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<div></div>Hmmm on a side note from solo tanking ^^ I have to say all skills are poor and dont help much and it gets worse as we level. With my testing "Face of the Mountain" helps me tank better than all my skills except for Spider Stance. Stone Stance is a waste as is Control Breathing, Phin's and Face are both grey to me and have been for a long time... yet I use them cause they work and help me tank better than my new skills.  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div><p>Message Edited by NeVeRLiFt on <span class=date_text>03-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:33 AM</span>

<DIV>I was trying to figure this one out last night too.  I think its because the way it works is you cast it on a target.  When that target gets hit YOU have a chance to deflect the attack, not the person you casted it on, so it wouldn't raise their deflection at all.</DIV>

It's not a real "buff" per se... you do the blocking for them, you don't increase anything of their's. <div></div>

Isn't a little odd that the description says that it increases the target's Avoidance by 36%, yet doesn't reflect in the now visible Avoidance number?</P> <P>Honestly, I really don't have any idea how that number is actually derived and neither do most of the other Brawlers on my server. Mousing over it only confuses me more. :smileyvery-happy:<BR></P>

<P>Something else I noticed last night with this spell. Sony recently made a change so that hovering your mouse over a maintained buff shows the target the buff is being used on. However, when I use it on someone Else, it still lists me as the target.</P> <P>Something is not right with this combat art. Looking at the description, this should be a secondary tanking buff that is designed to increase our own deflection and Tranquility skill while also increasing the target's Avoidance. However, I am convinced that it isn't working the way it says it's supposed to.</P> <P>In any case, I'm going to start bugging it until someone can explain it or prove otherwise.</P>

it does seem to work, just not showing it. I've blocked/reposted hits from mobs the tank at the time was pulling while he was way out of camp.<div></div>
