Im currently level 31 and using 1 each of the Oakwood and Watchers, but I just aquired 1 more of each so I can dual wield them if I choose. And I have 2 Slime Coated banked and ready for level 33. How much does the delay matter going from 1.5 on the Oakwood to 1.9 on the Watchers and Slime Coated when you consider the boost in damage ranges? <DIV>Slime coated maces hands down.  You forgot to list that they proc a poison DOT and it goes off a good amount of time.  What I might do is duel wield 1 Slime and the Ancient in your off hand.  I'm duel wielding 1 Slime and Feysteel right now at 35.  Forget the batons.. quarterstaves are better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kharza lvl 35 Monk Mistmoore</DIV>

<DIV>I would go 2 ancient.. the agi is good.. but so is the str.. the 22 str you get MIGHT raise you up into 125 str which will give you a % bonus of dmg.. But probably would go 2 slime coated when ya can use em.. Their proc was said to be like 5% of soem guys dps before dps was nerfed.. so thats quite a bit :O</DIV>

I have/had all three weaps at one point (I'm 35 now), basically I was within a level of Oakwood's short lifespan which maxes at 34, so I sold that right after attune patch. I bought to slime coated for cheap and started using that and watchers. The proc really isn't all that great in my opinion. Definately think watchers is better despite the proc. I would duel wield them until gray or I found better if I had 2. Watchers is significantly higher in both stats, only time I would consider slime coated would be in DPS role post level 36.

<DIV>The proc on the Slime isn't that impressive imo either.  Not bad initial damage, between 10-20, the 'poison' bit is a 3 damage tic for about 4 tics if I remember.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use an Ancient and Slime combo.  Also the Ancient maxes at level 36 but you can go to 39 with the slimes.</DIV>

It drops off boss mob at the end for the big quest. Don't think you need the quest to pop the boss mob, but not positive. I got 2Her drop when I kill the boss for my Ancient Slayer's Ring...kinda disappointing, I wanted to complete my set. Anyway, it drops in a chest and I believe it drops every time- well at least some type of Ancient Weapon of the Watcher.

Wraith bone maces weren't listed because they aren't one of the three weapons this person was asking about and they are quite mediocre. Same as any other common 35-40 weap like oakwood quarterstaves.

<DIV>I'll add my voice to the chorus of bleh regarding the proc on the slime-coated mace.  I currently wield that and a watcher mace, but would dual wield watchers if another were to make its way into my hands.  The stat bonuses are very very nice.</DIV>
