<DIV>Hello people, please excuse me if this has been mentioned before but I'm quite new to the Monk world and the world of EQ2 in general. I should be hitting 20 tonight and taking my first steps as a fully fledged Monk but there's something I've been meaning to ask and you guys seem to be some of the most knowledgable on the boards. </DIV> <DIV>When I obtain a new skill that shares the same timer as a previous skill I.E. Wild Swing - Power Strike or Thrust Kick - Flying Kick (these may not be right, just working from memory) is the old skill now redundant? Is there any point in keeping it on my hotbar once I've upgraded the new skill to Adept(x)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Many thanks for any help :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>

<DIV>I generally do for those times when you need to quickly complete a HO and you have run out of other icons to mash.</DIV> <DIV>At mid 20s, still finding a use for this, however I suspect at the top end this becomes redundant.</DIV>

<DIV>I get rid of them from my hotbar if they are on the same timer. One thing I can think of that you might want to keep them on is if you are virtually out of power and the 'lower' level skill might give you one more strike (but generally for the damage they do I'd wait for power to regen for one last cast).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as completing HO's faster, it seems to me alot of older skills have exactly the same cast stats so I'm not sure if actually you would complete them any quicker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ditch old skills IMHO.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for that. I've seen a few screenies of level 50 monks and often wondered how they managed to fit 50 levels of skills onto 2 or 3 hotbars. Makes sense to get rid of the older skills :smileyhappy:</DIV>
