I am having a hard time believing that the best the Dev team could come up with is leather and caster looking armor for monks. Talk about sad, I refuse to walk around in a silver and black flight suit. I guess I will wear leather forever once my AQ1-5 gi bites the dust. At least we have a brief momment of looking like what monks are supposed to look like. I have to believe the dev team has never seen a kung fu movie in their collective lives.. lol. /rant off

<DIV>This is the land of Norrath not Earth, therefore the equipment being worn should have no correlation to the preconceived notion in your mind as to what monks should look like.  Keep up the good work Dev Team!</DIV>

<DIV>... hmmm, you dont want monks to look like the EARTH version...  </DIV> <DIV>Norrath monks should look close to "Earth" monks just because the simple facts are they are martial artists. They follow at least one of the idealogy that "Earth" Martial Artists follow and therefore should at least look similar to something "Earth" Martial Artists wear. This is shown in Elder Grove that these Norrath monks are similar to ones on "Earth" and therefore should have some kind of style relating to "Earth's". Yes, I know that some how the Elder Grove monk armor got bugged and for now we can't use it, but that is no excuse, I would of been just happy with some of the pants we got in our 1st monk armor quest with just a different color. The lvl 40 monk armor looks like something a rogue would wear and it simply doesn't fit the monkish look. If you don't believe in this you must be a [Removed for Content]. Thanks =P -Drrako</DIV>

<DIV>I always see people saying that SOEs vision of monks is not what we think and we shouldn't expect to see a kung-fu style gi.  I say screw that.  Who gives sony the money to pay these guys that develop the game?  We do.  Who is this game designed for?  Us.  Should our opinions matter?  Hell yes.  Should our opinions and wants be adressed?  Yes, unless sony doesnt want our money.  BRING ON THE KUNG-FU!! I'll take a white silk gi with a chinese dragon print on the back.  Make it a Medium and loosen up the cuffs and pants abit please.  I need loose fitting for all the face smashing kicks Im gonna be doing.  KK thanks.</DIV>

<DIV>If you look in the Monk dojo you'll notice all the other monks including the master are wearing typical monk/martial artist clothes.  But we get plate.. I dont get it /boggle</DIV> <DIV>Its almost like the master is saying to us  "grasshoppa, you are the suck monk... you take to many punch to head... You as graceful as pregnant yak with two crub feet.  You need  wear more protection!! CHOP CHOP!!  Someday, you be real monk like me... you wear silk pajamas and carry big stick.  For now wear dis prate armor and carry sheild with big crub."</DIV>

Hmm... Typical martial arts attire... most "martial artists" I know (which admittantly isn't many) wear lets see.. denim blue jeans, some wear tee shirts, a LOT of sweats when they work out, Reeboks, maybe a bit of bling.. Yeah! that's the look! When you say typical, remember, you're talking typical 60's movie attire. And if you want to mimic "real life" monks, ask yourself, don't you think they'd have a problem running up to every badger, deer, bear, snake, and bird that crossed their path and pounding them to Buddah? The only thing worse than suspension of disbelief is SELECTIVE suspension of disbeliefAh well..-QB.

<DIV>As you can see, not body wear jeens in the game. Actualy, the warriors use modern militar uniforms, but that's not a reason to were that way in the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We select a monk and it is very simple, we want to look like one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Samurays where a grate warriors with complicated dreesses, so that's not a reason to make a monk to were jeens in the game to be confortable in a hunter mission.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The disigners have been a great job, and we thank that, but we are custumers. We want to play the better game, and they work every day to make it. I belive that they have to make that a monk looks like one. Every body knows how looks a monk in the every universe, just like every body knows how looks a warrior or a wizzard.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

There was an interview with Moorgard from SOE on The Brawler's Pit website (www.brawlers-pit.com) where he stated there's some issues with the clothing the Monks in Elddar Grove wear, but that visual will be made available to PC monks eventually.

One that looks like a martial arts bow...</DIV> <DIV>I want to see unicorns that fart rainbows!!!!!!</DIV>

<DIV>I think monks should just walk around naked! We should be strong enough and fast enough to remove the teeth and claws from a tiger before he has time to roar! Given this ability, I am pretty sure no one would complain... no wait, if you build it... they will still come, plain and simple. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I must look my best in the fantasy world for in the real world I am a troll with poor taste for fashion and a lack of color coordination. And if you don't agree with my idea, why I am going to just quit thinking all together. No wait, did I say that backwards? Oh yeah, if you guys find a bone handled knife in Antonica or The Common Lands, its mine!</DIV>

<DIV>Chainweave on Dwarves actually looks like I think it's supposed to. It's white, and you don't have bare feet but greyish martial arts style slippers. Cursed dwarves, hogging all the good stuff for themselves while the rest of us get to look like the Day-glo faeries.</DIV>
