<DIV>Anyone notice this?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Quite often I will die (my favorite dying style is dying from intervene. Stupid healers!) and I will check my exp debt after rez. Normally it is like 1 or 2% more than my current exp e.g. 1% exp, 2% exp debt. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A problem that I run into is that when I score that 2% regular exp, I have found that my exp debt has been kicked up to 3%, without there having been a death. Sometimes this happens for 2-3% increase in regular exp. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone know if this is some kind of rounding error or other math error? It's just plain annoying to think that you're going to be out of debt and find out that the exp debt percentage has gone up again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Could be my ogrish lack of math skills. Freeport didn't do SOL testing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mungo</DIV> <DIV>21 Ogre monk</DIV> <DIV>Blackburrow</DIV>

<DIV>It happens to me all the time where the debt gets kicked up one percentrage point.  However, I didn't really think of it as a bug but rather number rounding.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For example:</DIV> <DIV>If I have 50.8% XP and death gives me 1% point of debt... I woudl have to hit 51.8% but the debt meter displayes 51%.  Thus, when I hit 51% it gets kicked to 52% (rounding the number).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll take another look into this though perhaps it is a bug?</DIV>

<DIV>It's not a real big issue. I'd rather tolerate this than put up with memory leaks. Last night I spent several hours in Stormhold. With all the people filtering in and out my system was thrashing hard.</DIV>

I think it happens when you are, for example, something like 2.8% experience debt, and you are at 2.5%, it will add one so it doesn't show the same number. Once I had XP of X% to next level, it showed X+1 for debt, but while still X, the debt was finally cleared.

<DIV>Yeah. I think it is just a display issue. They don't want to show something like XP 50% Debt 50% and have people wondering why their debt hasn't cleared.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally I would be a lot happier if they gave me the debt total rounded to the nearest .1 or somthing like that. So you see XP 50% Debt .2%</DIV>

<DIV>When u have exp debt, when u gain xp, some of the xp is paid for your debt and some of it counts as your new xp. because of that the raise is pretty normal i think.<BR>u can lvl up while u have xp debt also.<BR><BR>Think relative xp gain. <BR>calculate your xp debt by<BR>XP debt - current xp .<BR>kill a mob<BR>calculate it again.</DIV><p>Message Edited by sapoki on <span class=date_text>12-16-2004</span> <span class=time_text>04:28 AM</span>
