Dual Wield

I am playing a Kerra Monk, currently level 24.78. My dual wield is only 28/28. Currently using a bo. If I decided I want to wield batons or something, how important is this number? And why is it so low, I would have though wielding dual batons would be a very monkish thing to do.

<DIV>Yeah I noticed that my dual wiled skills right now are 10/10 and i'm a level 21 monk. That doesnt make sense. Come to think of it I don't ever remember seeing that my dual wield skill has gone up while fighting and I have been using dual fist weapons since level 10. Anybody else's dual wield skill seem really low? <DIV>Your dual wield skill doesn't mean anything.  It's only there to let you know at a glance that you can dual wield.  There have been some official SOE posts from Moorgard to this effect, but I'm too lazy to look them up and link it for you.  </DIV>

Moorgard has made several post regarding the duel wield skill is there just to let you know you have not to add any benefit to the game. I have been using two weapons since level 20, never really every used the bo given at lvl 20. I am using two balckend iron cludgals. Each weapon has +4 AGI and +4 STR plus others. A total of +8 AGI and +8 STR not bad for mid 20s.
