<DIV>So im looking for a replacement weapon for my bo of striking that was given for my turning into a monk quest..i know whats available from vendor, but is there anything better out there..maybe with some stat bonuses..was also wondering oif there was a weapon quest similar to the way there is a armor quest for us.. my bow is not so good now..plus i always felt monks should be using 2 weapons, but the dps just isnt there as compared to using a bo</DIV>

<DIV>I used batons dropped from the EL instance until 34, then I switched to Feysteel Cestii.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The best stuff is probably either pristine crafted or good drops, but drops are rare imho.</DIV>

I'm 31 and use an oakwood fighting baton and an ebon eye mace, but those are lvl 29 weapons I believe.

<DIV>Pristine ash* batons here, much preferred to Bo of striking.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Coraz2 on <span class=date_text>12-13-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:29 PM</span>

<DIV>I'm 29 and also use Oakwood Fighting Batons and the Ebon Eye Mace. I like them alot but I always keep an eye out for something better. I would love DWing quarterstaves and I've seen an oakwood one for sale but it's unusable until around 34. Plus the 10gp price scared me away. Nice weapon though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes, the OFB and EEM are not usable until 29.</DIV>

At 26 I am using a Steel Mace (lord androus drop in Stormhold) and a Pristine Ashwood Quarterstave (player made)Paid a gold for the quarterstave, they should serve me until I can get quest weapons at 29 - listed above in the thread.Until 25 I used a pair of Firwood Batons -> drops from the Undead overseer in TS (to the left in the crop field near the burned house when you zone into TS)

I got a nice set of quarter staves from RE, they re orange to me at lvl 37 stats are like 18-64 dmg 1.7s dly +str +agi +power I got my second one last night, they are kind of rare. I was trying to get some engraved leather boots (the only piece i am missing, and they never drop for me) and I ended up getting two quarter staves instead. either way, I was happy with the sticks. They are better than feysteel cestii IMO, about the same stats and damage but better delay. Cestiis have a 2.0 second delay.I got 2x feysteel cestii (from varsoons real common drop I had like 8 of them at one time)I got a set of oakwood batons (the +10 agi ones from EL access)I got a cerebus baton (lvl 42+ baton i think, really nice)I got a cestii of the master (dropped off master in RE on cook/chef side)I got some prestine fist wraps our tailor made me (i got stuck doing jewelry for guild crafting heh) They are really nice, green to me at lvl 37 but only have a 1.3 second delay. the damage is not so great but the delay makes up for it.BTW here is DPS calc (im doing this from memory correct me if I am wrong)((Max damge - Min Damage)/2 + Min Damage) / Delay. or if you are just too lazy to do math here is a link to a working one<a href="http://eq2.unicalc.com/" target=_blank>http://eq2.unicalc.com/</a>

The only thing the calc does not include is procs. I do not know how to calculate that in for DPS. When a weapon proc's is it based of STR in EQ2? Or is it based off your skill? I seem to proc a lot now that I am 35+ ( on average like at least 5 times per a fight). At lvl 25 firwood batons are good, ebon quarterstaff, crafted fist wraps. At level 30 you can try to get those +10 agi batons, then at 34 use cestiis and at 36 use the quarterstaff from RE. Then at 42+ use the cerebus baton and the master cestii which is what I will be using probably<p>Message Edited by GangsterFist on <span class=date_text>12-13-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:51 AM</span>

<DIV>I've seen some people post here about crafted fist wraps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I bought a cuirboilli leather fist wrap which is really nice for me atm (got it this morning for 25s...a bargain I think), but can't find any more good ones on the market.  A boiled leather fist wrap would do, I think...anyone know where I can get another good fist wrap?  Is there an effective way to find a tailor to make me one if I'm not in a guild?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

look and see what tailored items are for sale on the Broker.. then contact the maker of the item and see if he will make you some more fists.

Or make friends with a tailor and have them craft you some.
