Which ones rock and whitch ones suck. At level 26 my favorites are rapid swings and swooping dragon. Both do very nice damage. 50-70 per hit with rapid adept 3, and 115-130 plus 80some dot damage with swooping adept 1.I would love to hear from some higher level monks. What are your favorite skills and why? Also I am wondering about everburing flame. Is this a useful skill? Draining health doesnt sound like a good thing to me.<p>Message Edited by Blaze79 on <span class=date_text>12-11-2004</span> <span class=time_text>11:09 AM</span>

<DIV>I myself enjoy using Brawlers Stance and the 21 monk hate reduction. It goes PERFECTLY with my friends. I could care less about my DPS moves as my fist does enough DPS.</DIV>

<DIV>I don't understand plodding tortoise or grappling bear, I only use them if somehow ALL my other sword icon skills miss and I'm trying to advance HO. You can use them while you're stunned, but who is ever stunned longer than a second? You can interrupt casting, but by the time you see an npc cast they are done in 1 second, and you're usually busy using attack skills, so it goes in queue and doesn't go off until they are done casting. I can't even tell when I'm stunned because SoE thought it'd be a great idea to not add skill messages, like %T is stunned or You successfully feign death! </DIV><p>Message Edited by Coraz2 on <span class=date_text>12-11-2004</span> <span class=time_text>12:07 PM</span>

<DIV>Face the mountain, 120 armor (10% of my armor, unnoticible mitigation amount) for TEN SECONDS. What the hell is up with this?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>also, /feign YOU RULE except that is is fairly unapplicable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can anything think of a way to get a macro to /feign when you use it?</DIV><p>Message Edited by Coraz2 on <span class=date_text>12-11-2004</span> <span class=time_text>09:08 PM</span>

<DIV>There is nothing more annoying than trying to FD and have it fail to the point where you have to get up and keep running.  But to do this you actually have to find the FD icon in your buffs, then right click on it, then kill the FD and then get up and run.. is there a reason why they made using FD that user unfriendly?</DIV>

<DIV>Plodding tortoise can be used while stunned, it doesn't stun things.</DIV>

<DIV>Wind Walk.  I can think of all kinds of ways to lose experience with this skill, it's awesome <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, I do like it.  But I tend to get in trouble with it.  For example: try wind walking into level 4 of stormhold just to "scope things out".  On the bright side, feign death helps prevent what would otherwise become massive exp loss <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Yeah obviously it wasn't "Feign Death (or Play Dead)" <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> It just seemed funny since "/" is the common command starter that's all.  Thanks for clarifying it.</DIV>

<DIV>Well higher level Monks prefer to use Play Dead instead of Feign Death. Use the ability that you prefer using.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>: ; useability Feign Death ; feign</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>or</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>: ; useability Play Dead ; feign</DIV></DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Kwonryu_DragonFist on <span class=date_text>12-13-2004</span> <span class=time_text>04:27 PM</span>

<DIV>just wanted to say thanx for that macro. it is very useful. just one question about it tho. when i tested it in the city it returned an answer of:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>[GM] Your feign value: 27</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>is that right? or does it change if you are actually in a fight at the time?</DIV>

<DIV>Yes Barman.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try it in a fight and you will see the True or False value on the specific mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When not in a fight, you only get the value! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Kwonryu_DragonFist on <span class=date_text>12-15-2004</span> <span class=time_text>09:32 AM</span>

<DIV>Yes, mucho thanks for the macro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Actually, you can use it while not in combat on any mob, and it will display true or false. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is way better than waiting to see if they beat you to a pulp after FD :b</DIV> <DIV><BR>Quawn </DIV> <DIV>24 monk </DIV> <DIV>Kithicor</DIV>
